Why young women are having facelifts: 'I couldn't even open my eyes. That's how swollen I was'

I'm totally fascinated by this topic 🤯! I mean, who wouldn't want to look and feel great, right? 💁‍♀️ But at the same time, it's crazy how popular cosmetic surgery has become among young women. Like, 20-somethings are getting facelifts left and right, and it's not just because they're trying to impress their friends (although that might be a factor too 😉). There's this whole societal pressure thing going on, where people feel like they need to look a certain way to fit in. And social media influencers aren't helping, either - those before-and-after pics can be super convincing! 📸

But what really gets me is how some surgeons are starting to speak out against doing cosmetic surgery for purely aesthetic reasons. Like, shouldn't we be focusing on actual health issues rather than just trying to look good? It's all about balance, you know? 💖 And it's not just about the procedure itself - it's also about why people are getting them in the first place. Are they feeling pressure from others? Or are they genuinely happy with their bodies? We need to have more conversations about this stuff and make sure we're prioritizing self-acceptance over self-criticism. 💖

I think this trend is quite revealing about our societal values 🤔. On one hand, it's heartening to see people taking control of their bodies and making choices that improve their mental well-being 💪. On the other hand, I'm concerned about the pressure we're putting on ourselves to conform to unrealistic beauty standards 😩. It's interesting how technology can both empower us and trap us in certain ways 📱.

🌸 I think its crazy how much pressure there is on us to look perfect, especially now that everyone's on social media 📱. People are getting these procedures at such a young age and its not just about feeling good about yourself, its about trying to stay young forever 💅. But what about when you're 40 or 50 and your skin starts sagging? Shouldn't we be focusing on taking care of our bodies rather than trying to freeze time? 🤔

I'm reading about this trend where young women are getting into cosmetic surgery and I gotta say, its wild how affordable it is now 🤑 some of these procedures cost like 2-3 grand which is actually not that bad considering what some people spend on a year's worth of clothes or whatever. I mean I get it, we live in a society where everyone is obsessed with looking young and perfect all the time and social media doesn't help, our feeds are always filled with these flawless selfies and before-and-after pics of people who have had surgery and it can be pretty tempting to want that for yourself.
