Major Tech Companies Unite Behind New AI Framework Standardizing Intelligent Agents.

A bold move by tech giants to standardize AI development, the newly formed Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF) has been launched in collaboration with The Linux Foundation. This new initiative aims to promote interoperability among popular AI technologies, MCP, goose, and AGENTS.md.

The main goal of this framework is to enable seamless integration and communication between various AI systems. By doing so, developers will be able to easily connect their AI models to data sources in a standardized way, thanks to the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This protocol has gained widespread support since its release a year ago and has already been adopted by major companies such as Google and OpenAI.

The Agentic AI Foundation plans to govern the development of these three key technologies: MCP, goose, and AGENTS.md. i was talking to this friend who works at google and hes telling me about how hard it was for them to integrate their models with other companies its like a whole different language u have to learn and then theres mcp and agents.md and goose but now it seems like theyre all gonna be on the same page 🤓 and that means devs can finally focus on making ai models that actually do something cool not just sitting there collecting dust 💻
