so like what's up with all these movie adaptations? Narnia, Peaky Blinders... they're classics or something it's cool that there's a whole new generation of filmmakers trying to bring these stories to life. Greta Gerwig directing Narnia is actually kinda exciting - she's got some awesome films under her belt already and I'm curious about the Jesse Eisenberg musical comedy, Julianne Moore is always good in whatever she does but a comedy from Eisenberg? that's like a bold move, right?
I'm loving the diversity of projects on this list ! But, gotta say, I'm a bit skeptical about "Whitney Springs" - is that just another film trying to make a quick buck off a sensitive topic? Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that Kendrick Lamar is getting involved, but isn't the whole thing feeling like a PR stunt? And what's with all these big-name directors jumping on board? Are we expecting Oscar buzz or just a bunch of flashy films trying to make a quick exit from awards season? I'll be keeping an eye on this one, for sure!
