Arrest Made in Double Murder of Ohio Dentist and His Ex-Wife
A shocking arrest has been made in connection with the brutal double murder of an Ohio dentist, his ex-wife, and their two young children. Michael McKee, 35, was taken into custody by Columbus police on January 5th, just days before the new year, following a lengthy investigation.
According to court records, investigators linked McKee to a vehicle seen in surveillance footage around the time of the killings, which occurred at the couple's home on December 30th. The police were able to identify a suspect through neighborhood surveillance footage and subsequently discovered that McKee was in possession of the vehicle before and after the murders.
Spencer Tepe, 37, and his ex-wife Monique Tepe, 39, both suffered fatal gunshot wounds at their home. Spencer's body had multiple gunshot wounds, while Monique suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest. The couple's two young children were found unharmed in the house.
Detectives believe that McKee killed his ex-wife and her husband after a lengthy custody battle over their two children. In a statement released on Saturday, the Tepe family expressed gratitude for the tireless efforts of Columbus police detectives who arrested McKee and vowed to continue honoring the couple's memory.
McKee is scheduled to appear in court on Monday to face charges related to the double murder.
