Opinion: ‘Until we meet again, brave little cat.’ The heartbreak and taboo of burying our pets | CNN

I think it's so sad that people still struggle to talk about their loss 🤕 especially when it comes to pets. I mean, we all know how much love and companionship they bring to our lives, and it's only natural to feel a huge void after they're gone 💔. The fact that there are charities like RSPCA and Blue Cross offering counseling services is amazing - it shows that we're starting to normalize the idea of grieving for pets 🙏.

And I love how pet cemeteries are popping up all over the place - it's like a tribute to our furry friends who have passed on ✨. But, honestly, €200 per service is a bit steep for me... can't we make these services more accessible? 🤷‍♀️ Still, I think this is a great step towards acknowledging the emotional significance of losing a pet and providing support systems for those who are grieving 💖.

You know what's even wilder? The fact that pets have been buried in public cemeteries since the 19th century! Like, humans have been doing it for centuries, but we're just now starting to talk about it more openly 🤯. I guess that's progress, right?

Ugh, have you tried those new plant-based milk alternatives? Like, I was at the store yesterday and they had this almond milk that's literally indistinguishable from cow milk... 🤯 But anyway, back to pets... I remember when my cat passed away, I felt so lost without her. I ended up getting this weird ritual going where I'd talk to a picture of her on my phone every day at 3 pm... it sounds silly, but it helped me cope. And I'm not gonna lie, some days still feel super tough. Maybe that's why these new pet cemeteries are popping up? 🌼

I gotta say, it's crazy how much grief people still experience when they lose their pets 🐾💔. I mean, we're always quick to grieve over our human loved ones, but when it comes to our furry friends... it's like, yeah, let's not be afraid to show some emotions, fam 😂. I'm all for those pet cemeteries popping up in major cities - it's about time we give our pets the respect they deserve 💯. And can you believe they're only €200 a pop? That's like, what, half a latte? 😂 But seriously, accessible options are key here... my pup passed away a few years ago and I wish there was more than just a fancy memorial stone to remember him 🐕. Guess it's all about moving forward and finding ways to honor those who brought us so much joy ❤️.

omg u guys i just lost my fur baby like 2 weeks ago & it's been so hard 🐶😭 i mean i know its normal to grieve but its just not the same as losing human family member... anyway i read this article about pet cemeteries and it got me thinking, we need more of those in cities so that ppl can say goodbye to their pets like they do with humans 🌳💕 my friend is planning a memorial for her dog & she's getting some flowers & a new painting just like mom used to do 💐🎨

I'm so down with this new trend 🐾💔! I mean, who doesn't grieve when they lose their furry bestie? It's totally normal to feel sad and emotional after saying goodbye to your pet 😭. We need more spaces like the one in Barcelona where we can pay our respects and find closure 💕. The fact that charities are offering counseling services is a huge step forward 🙏. I wish more countries would make pet cemeteries accessible to everyone, regardless of income level 💸. It's all about compassion and understanding between humans and animals 🌎 #PetCemeteryRevolution #CompassionateSociety #AnimalLoversUnite
