Opinion: Why is ‘60 Minutes’ amplifying the views of Marjorie Taylor Greene? | CNN

I'm soooo done with people always trashing 60 Minutes 🙄... Like, come on guys, can't you just watch the whole thing without getting all worked up? 🤷‍♀️ I mean, yes, Marjorie Taylor Greene is definitely got some sketchy views 😬, but shouldn't we be having a more nuanced convo about that instead of just freaking out? 🤔 Stahl did her job and gave Greene a platform for her thoughts, it's not like she coddled her or anything. And honestly, I kinda loved the segment - it was interesting to see Greene go toe-to-toe with Stahl 💪... If you guys are so against it, maybe try watching the full thing instead of just taking it out on 60 Minutes? 📺

🤔 I'm so done with 60 Minutes giving a platform to people like Marjorie Taylor Greene. It's like they're trying to make her more relatable or something 🙄. Newsflash: radical views are not relatable, they're disturbing! And Stahl's way of handling the interview just made it worse. I mean, come on, she didn't even challenge Greene's conspiracy theories about the Parkland shooting 🤦‍♀️. It's like they wanted to make her look like a victim or something 😒.

And what's up with this whole "controversy" thing? Is 60 Minutes just trying to boost ratings by featuring someone who's gonna stir up drama? Because if that's the case, it's not journalism, it's clickbait 📰. And don't even get me started on Greene's tweet. "Praising Stahl and the crew" without addressing the controversy? Give me a break 🙄.

The media needs to do better than this. We need journalists who are willing to fact-check and call out misinformation, not just give a platform to whoever's currently trending 🤯. This whole thing is just another example of how social media can amplify radical voices and make them more "mainstream" 👀.

I'm soooo worried about this 🤕! I feel like 60 Minutes is trying to make a point but kinda ends up giving Marjorie Taylor Greene a free pass 😬. If they're gonna feature her, can't they at least ask some tough questions? 🤔 It's like Stahl just let Greene talk without challenging her on all the crazy stuff she says 💁‍♀️. I get that the show wants to be fair, but sometimes you gotta call out the hate 😡. Let's keep pushing for fact-based reporting and critical thinking in journalism! 💖

I'm kinda worried about where we're headed if we keep giving airtime to people who spread hate and misinformation. It's like, we gotta hold them accountable for what they say, you know? Can't just let 'em spew their venom on our screens without someone calling 'em out. We need journalists who are brave enough to challenge these radical views and push back against the BS. It's not about being confrontational, it's about keeping our discourse real and fact-based. If 60 Minutes is gonna feature Greene, they should at least try to pierce through her spin doctoring and get to the truth... 🤔💡
