LSU SEC Roster Dispute Resolved

The SEC's Roster Wars: A Cautionary Tale for College Athletics The recent spat between LSU and the Southeastern Conference (SEC) has been averted, at least for now.

After weeks of threats, lawsuits, and maneuvering, LSU president Wade Rousse declared that the issue is "moot" after his university complied with SEC rules by locking its roster without adding two former NFL players.

The dispute centered on the SEC's push to enforce its rules on player eligibility, which aim to prevent universities from poaching top talent by allowing players who have signed professional contracts to return to college and compete for another year.
