Singaporean Man Sentenced for Insulting Islam in Malaysia

However, a disturbing incident involving one such tourist has highlighted the fragility of interfaith relations in the region.

Mohamed Anim Atam, a 56 year old security guard from Singapore, was sentenced to 14 days' jail and fined RM7,000 for insulting Islam while traveling through Johor Bahru.
