This forest, one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet and home to over 240 species of birds, attracts nearly two million visitors annually.

While tourism revenue can bring significant economic benefits, it's clear that the rapid growth in visitor numbers is taking a devastating toll on both the environment and the Taíno people who have lived in harmony with this land for centuries.
