I gotta say, Elizabeth McCracken is like the ultimate "tough love" teacher for writers! She's not afraid to get real and show us that writing isn't all rainbows and unicorns . I mean, who needs some chipper workshop instructor telling you to "show, don't tell" when you can just dive into the messy world of creation and figure it out yourself? It's refreshing to see someone being so honest about the writing process and not sugarcoating it for our sake. And I love how she says that self-loathing can actually be a productivity booster - talk about a healthy dose of sarcasm!
