A Switch 2 edition of Animal Crossing: New Horizons will land on January 15

Nintendo is set to breathe new life into its beloved game Animal Crossing: New Horizons with a major update scheduled for January 15, just in time for the Switch 2's launch. The enhanced version, dubbed Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Enhanced Edition, promises a slew of upgrades and new features that will make the game even more appealing to both old and new fans.

One of the most significant changes is the improved graphics, which now support 4K visuals in TV mode on the Switch 2. This means players can enjoy crisp and clear gameplay without any pixelation. Another notable upgrade is the ability to play with mouse controls via Joy-Con 2, making it easier to redecorate homes, create custom designs, and send messages on the bulletin board.

The game's online features are also getting a major boost, allowing up to 12 players to hang out together in the Switch 2 version. Additionally, the new camera feature will enable players to see each other's faces above their characters as they play, adding a more social and immersive element to the game.

Nintendo has also made some significant additions to the game's physical space. A hotel on the pier is now available for decoration, complete with souvenirs from the gift shop and new outfits to purchase. The game's dream world is also expanding, with up to three additional islands to create and explore. Fresh craftable items will be added, and players can expand their home storage capacity to 9,000 items (up from 5,000).

The Enhanced Edition will retail for $65, while an upgrade pack for the original game will cost just $5. A free update, meanwhile, is available to both the Switch and Switch 2 versions of the game, bringing new collaborations with Nintendo consoles, Lego items, and crossovers with The Legend of Zelda and Splatoon.

With these upgrades and additions, it's likely that players will spend many more hours in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, there's something for everyone in this charming game.

aww man i'm so excited about the new update for animal crossing : new horizons ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿ’– the graphics upgrade is gonna make it look so much nicer on the switch 2 and the mouse control option is a total game changer ๐Ÿค” especially when it comes to redecorating homes and sending messages on the bulletin board ๐Ÿ’ฌ i'm also loving the idea of being able to hang out with friends online now that there's room for up to 12 players ๐Ÿ‘ซ๐Ÿ˜Š and the new camera feature sounds so cool, like we're finally getting a glimpse into each other's faces while we play ๐Ÿค— can't wait to check it all out and start decorating my new hotel on the pier ๐Ÿจ๐Ÿ’Ž

I gotta say ๐Ÿค”, Nintendo knows how to bring old friends back in with some awesome updates! It's all about giving people what they want & making the experience more enjoyable for both new & old fans ๐Ÿ‘. This Enhanced Edition is like a breath of fresh air, adding new life to a game that's already been beloved by many ๐ŸŒธ. The fact that it's not just about throwing in new features, but also improving graphics & gameplay is really cool ๐Ÿ’ป. It shows Nintendo cares about the community & wants to make sure everyone has an amazing time playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons ๐Ÿ˜Š.

OMG ๐Ÿคฏ I'm so hyped about the upcoming update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons! ๐ŸŒด The new 4K graphics are gonna make the whole game look insane ๐Ÿ˜ฒ and I love that they're adding more social features, like being able to see each other's faces while playing online ๐Ÿค. And can we talk about the new hotel on the pier?! ๐Ÿจ That sounds like so much fun! Expanding our home storage capacity from 5,000 to 9,000 items is also super exciting for me ๐Ÿ‘€ I've already got a ton of furniture and decorations to show off in my virtual villa ๐Ÿ’ผ. The only thing that's got me a little skeptical is the price tag for the Enhanced Edition... $65 seems like a bit of a splurge ๐Ÿค‘ but I guess it'll be worth it if it brings all these amazing new features and content ๐ŸŽ

Ugh, Nintendo is gonna make us shell out even more cash for this thing ๐Ÿค‘. I mean, who needs an extra $60 when they could be using it to buy actual stuff? And don't even get me started on the "enhanced" graphics... 4K visuals are just a fancy way of saying "we made it look prettier". I'm sure it's not like it'll actually make a huge difference in gameplay or anything. And what's with the mouse controls thingy? It's just gonna attract more cheaters and noobs who can't even be bothered to learn how to use a real controller ๐Ÿ˜’. The social aspect is just an excuse for more people to flood the game with their online drama...

OMG u guys!! ๐Ÿคฉ Nintendo is literally saving the best for last! I mean, an updated version of Animal Crossing: New Horizons? Yes please!!! The new graphics are gonna make everything look SO much better and the mouse controls thingy is genius! I'm already imagining redecorating my virtual home with ease ๐Ÿ˜‚. And the online multiplayer feature? That's a whole new level of fun! I need to get this game ASAP! ๐Ÿ’– The new hotel on the pier sounds amazing too! Who wouldn't want souvenirs and new outfits?! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Can't wait for Jan 15th and the Switch 2 launch! It's gonna be EPIC!

I'm so stoked to see Nintendo reviving Animal Crossing: New Horizons ๐ŸŽ‰! The new graphics are gonna make the game look SO sick in 4K mode ๐Ÿ‘€. And, can we talk about the online features? Up to 12 players in Switch 2? That's a whole new level of social gaming experience ๐Ÿคฉ! I'm also hyped about the hotel on the pier, that's so cool ๐Ÿ˜Ž. The craftable items and home storage expansion are gonna open up so many creative possibilities ๐ŸŽจ. And, who wouldn't want to hang out with friends while building their dream island paradise? ๐ŸŒด

omg i'm so hyped for this update ๐Ÿคฉ! i've spent like 100s of hrs on ACNH and it's still one of my fave games ever...the new graphics are gonna make the whole experience even more immersive, can't wait to redecorate my island in 4k ๐Ÿ˜. the addition of a hotel on the pier is genius, who wouldn't want to check into that?! ๐Ÿจ and up to 12 players online? game. changer. ๐Ÿคฏ

๐Ÿค” I think Nintendo is doing an amazing job with the updated features for Animal Crossing: New Horizons ๐ŸŽฎ. The improved graphics are gonna look so sick on the new Switch 2 consoles! ๐Ÿ’ป And playing with mouse controls is such a game-changer, I've been struggling with that Joy-Con thingy since launch ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

The social aspect of the game is also getting a huge boost, it's great to see Nintendo encouraging more multiplayer fun ๐ŸŽ‰. The new camera feature sounds like so much fun! ๐Ÿ˜ And who doesn't love decorating a hotel on the pier? ๐Ÿจ๐Ÿ’…

I'm stoked that they're adding fresh content and expansions to the game's dream world too ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ‘€. I've been playing for ages, but this just makes me wanna start all over again ๐Ÿคฏ. The price is pretty reasonable too, especially with the upgrade pack for $5 ๐Ÿ’ธ.

All in all, Nintendo is killing it with this updated edition ๐ŸŽ‰, can't wait to dive back into Animal Crossing and see what new adventures await! ๐Ÿ˜Š

omg u guys i just can't even!! ๐Ÿคฏ i've been playing animal crossing new horizons since it came out and i'm SO hyped for the enhanced edition update!!! i mean, 4k graphics on switch 2 is like whoa... and being able to use mouse controls w/ joy-con 2? genius! i've already redecorated my whole island like 5 times in my head lol. and omg the new camera feature sounds like so much fun! playing with friends online is gonna be a whole new level of immersive. and hotel on the pier?? souvenirs from gift shop?! new outfits to buy?! i'm sold!!! can't wait for january 15th ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’–

Omg, can't wait for the update ๐Ÿคฉ! I've spent so much time on ACNH and it's gonna be crazy how they're adding new islands to explore ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ–๏ธ! The hotel on the pier is already a fave spot of mine lol. I'm also low-key hyped about the mouse controls, redecorating my home just got way easier ๐Ÿ˜‚! Only sad thing is, the original game's gonna cost 5 bucks for an upgrade pack, that feels kinda steep ๐Ÿ’ธ

๐Ÿค” I'm not sure about this... I mean, I think Nintendo is trying to be all cool and stuff by releasing an "Enhanced Edition" at the same time as the Switch 2's launch, but like, isn't that just gonna make the game too hard to find for people who don't wanna shell out another $60? ๐Ÿค‘ And what's up with the price tag of $65? It feels like they're taking advantage of us gamers. ๐Ÿ˜’ On the other hand... I mean, improved graphics and new features sound kinda cool... especially the mouse controls thingy ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ... but will it really make a difference in gameplay or is it just gonna be a novelty that wears off after a while? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Ugh, $65 for an "Enhanced Edition"? That's just crazy talk! I mean, don't get me wrong, it sounds like they've added some nice features, but that price tag is steep, especially considering the original game was already a great value. And what's up with the separate upgrade pack for $5? It feels like a money grab. I'm not sure if it's worth it to revisit the game just because of these minor updates. Maybe they could've included more substantial changes instead...

omg i'm hyped about the new animal crossing update ๐Ÿคฉ! 4k graphics are gonna take the game to a whole new level and playing with mouse controls is such a game changer ๐Ÿ–ฑ๏ธ. adding more social features like seeing each other's faces above our characters is super cool ๐Ÿ‘ซ. i love that we get to decorate a hotel on the pier and explore new islands ๐Ÿ–๏ธ. it's amazing how nintendo keeps updating the game to make it even more appealing to both old and new fans ๐Ÿ™Œ. the fact that they're including new collaborations with other franchises like lego and zelda is just wow ๐Ÿคฏ. can't wait to dive back into animal crossing and see what all the fuss is about ๐Ÿ˜„!

I'm low-key hyped about the Animal Crossing update ๐ŸŽ‰! The new graphics are gonna make the whole experience feel so much smoother and more vibrant. I mean, playing with mouse controls on the Switch 2 is gonna be a total game-changer (pun intended). And adding new features like the hotel on the pier and more islands to explore? Genius!

I love how Nintendo's trying to enhance the online multiplayer aspect too - up to 12 players can hang out together now ๐Ÿคฉ. It's crazy to think about all the creative possibilities that come with this. I've already got my design ideas brewing...

One thing that's got me wondering, though: what does this say about our lives as gamers? Are we always chasing updates and new features, or are we just happy playing the game? Food for thought ๐Ÿค”
