AI starts autonomously writing prescription refills in Utah

omg what if something goes wrong with the ai refill system i mean don't get me wrong tech has come a long way but can we really trust these machines with our health? my grandma was prescribed some meds through this system last month and she's still complaining about her blood pressure not being under control...i'm worried about the human touch, you know? won't they be able to adjust prescriptions if the ai gets something wrong? shouldn't there be a fail safe mechanism in place? also, what's gonna happen when older folks or kids are involved who can't really navigate this system?

idk why ppl r so concerned lol i mean im not saying its a bad idea but dont we wanna be ahead of the curve? AI is already doing tons of stuff in healthcare and if we can automate refills it could save lives... or at least make things easier for patients what's wrong with a lil automation tho?

I think this is a super interesting development in healthcare tech! But at the same time, I can see why some people are worried about AI making its own medical decisions . I mean, we've seen enough sci-fi movies where robots start to malfunction and cause chaos... . I guess what I'm trying to say is that while AI can be super helpful in diagnosing certain things, it's still just a machine , and there are so many variables involved in human health that it's hard to replicate with code .

I'd love to see more data on how this program has performed so far, like what kind of errors have been caught by human oversight . And yeah, I can see why the FDA would want to get involved too . It's a great example of how tech is changing the game in healthcare, but we need to make sure we're not sacrificing patient safety for innovation .
