Apple Podcasts is generating automatic links and chapters

Apple Podcasts set to revolutionize the way we experience and interact with podcasts, introducing two game-changing features that will make your listening experience more immersive.

In an update expected to roll out in iOS 26.2, currently in developer beta testing, Apple Podcasts will introduce automatically-generated chapters for shows released in English. This feature aims to improve user engagement by breaking up lengthy episodes into digestible chunks, making it easier for listeners to navigate and find specific sections of their favorite podcasts.

Furthermore, creators will now have the option to add links at specific timestamps within their episodes, creating a seamless listening experience that allows users to easily access additional content or explore related topics. Moreover, timed links may also be added automatically whenever creators mention another podcast, making it easier for listeners to discover new shows and creators.

Creators will be able to opt-out of these features if they prefer not to use them. Automatically generated chapters will be marked as such above an episode's chapter list.

The update is similar in nature to Spotify's auto-generated chapters feature that was rolled out earlier this year.

I'm excited about this update! I mean, who doesn't love breaking up long podcasts into manageable chunks? 🀯 It's gonna make discovering specific parts of your favorite shows so much easier. And those timed links? Game-changer for creators and listeners alike! It's like having a whole new level of interactivity. But you know what really gets me? It's the fact that Apple is giving creators more control over their content, allowing them to opt-out if they don't want these features. That's just smart business, if you ask me. 😊

πŸ€” I'm loving the idea of automatic chapter breaks, it's gonna make listening to podcasts way more enjoyable, you know? No more scouring through 3 hour episodes just to find a specific part. It'll be like having a personalized guide for each podcast. And timed links adding extra content or related shows? That's genius! I can already imagine stumbling upon a new favorite show while listening to my usual faves. πŸŽ§πŸ‘ What do you guys think about this update? Are you excited to see these features roll out in iOS 26.2? πŸ€”

Ugh, I mean... it's gonna get even harder to focus on our podcasts what with these new features 🀯. I know some people will love having their shows broken down into mini-episodes, but I'm not a fan of how it's gonna feel like the platform is doing more work for us creators. And those timed links? Just another way for Apple to monetize our content, if you ask me... πŸ€‘. On the bright side, at least we'll have some new ways to mess with each other's feeds πŸ˜‚.

I'm so stoked about the new updates on Apple Podcasts 🀩! The idea of automatically generated chapters for shows released in English is literally going to change the game for me. I mean, who hasn't gotten lost in an epic podcast episode and wanted to fast forward or rewind? This feature is all about making it easier for us listeners to find what we're looking for without having to dig through hours of content. Plus, the option to add links at specific timestamps and discover new shows is genius πŸ€“. It's like they're really listening to our needs (no pun intended) πŸ˜‚. I'm excited to see how this feature evolves and can't wait to try it out!

omg, can't wait for this update! 🀩 I'm all about discover new podcasts and creators on Apple Podcasts. Those automatically generated chapters are gonna be a total game-changer. No more struggling to find the good part in a long episode πŸ˜‚. And being able to click on links at specific timestamps? Genius! It's like they're really listening to what we want πŸ€“. I do hope some creators opt-out, though - don't wanna see their content all cluttered up πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ. But overall, this is gonna make Apple Podcasts even more amazing! πŸ’»

πŸ€” I'm so stoked about the new Apple Podcasts updates! The idea of automatically-generated chapters makes total sense - it's like having a personal assistant for your fave podcasts. I mean, who doesn't love being able to jump straight to the good stuff without having to listen to the whole episode first? πŸ“š

And timed links? Game. Changer. I'm already imagining how epic it'll be when I can just click on a link in my podcast and dive into an entire new world of content. It's like having a superpower! πŸ’₯ Can't wait for this update to roll out - my listening experience is about to get a whole lot more immersive πŸ”

I'm so stoked about the new podcast update from Apple! 🀩 I mean, who doesn't love being able to just dive into their fave podcasts without having to scroll through hours of ads or random intro music? Auto-generated chapters are gonna be a total game-changer for people like me who have super long commute times and don't wanna spend 3 hours listening to just one podcast. But at the same time, I'm a bit worried that it's gonna feel too... automated? Like, can't creators just put in some effort to make the episodes more engaging without Apple doing all the work for them? And what about people who actually like to listen to whole episodes from start to finish - are they gonna be forced into 10-minute chunks or something? πŸ€”

🀯 I'm loving the idea of automatically generated chapters on Apple Podcasts! It's gonna make navigating through those long episodes so much easier, you know? Like when I'm listening to my fave podcast and it's all about a specific topic or episode - having those little breaks in the middle is like a breath of fresh air 🌬️. And adding links at specific timestamps? Genius! It's like, I can just tap away and dive into that other podcast I've been wanting to check out 😎. Not sure how I feel about opting out if I don't want the feature though - feels like it could disrupt the flow of some shows πŸ€”. But overall, this update is gonna take podcasting to a whole new level πŸš€!

OMG, can't wait for iOS 26.2! 🀩 Apple Podcasts just got a major upgrade with these two awesome features πŸš€πŸŽ§! Auto-chapters are gonna be a total game-changer for long episodes - no more skimming through hours of content πŸ˜΄πŸ’». And timed links? Genius move to discover new shows and creators πŸ”—πŸ‘! Can't wait to try it out and see how it changes my podcast experience #ApplePodcastsRevolution #PodcastGoals #ImmersiveListening

omg can u imagine listening to ur fave podcast and suddenly it breaks down into little bite sized chunks? its like they're reading the episodes for u lol. i'm all for improving the user experience but idk if these features are really necessary. whats next gonna be automatically skipping u to the good parts? πŸ€” anyway, its cool that creators have the option to opt out if they dont wanna use these new features. its all about personal preference, right? and btw, this reminds me of how spotify is always one step ahead with their features... like what's next for apple podcasts?! πŸ’‘

πŸ€” Hmm, automatically generated chapters... sounds like a bit of a gimmick to me πŸ™„. I mean, I love listening to my favorite podcasts, but do I really need some AI algorithm deciding what's "digestible" for me? πŸ˜’ What if it misses the good part? And what about creators who just want to tell their story without being broken up into bite-sized chunks? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

And timed links at specific timestamps... that's just a bit too much for me. I like finding new podcasts on my own, not through some algorithmic suggestion 😊. But hey, if it works for people, I'm all for it πŸ’». Just need to see some studies or data on how well this thing actually works πŸ“Š.

Ugh, finally some decent podcasting tech from Apple πŸ™„. I mean, who doesn't love being broken down into tiny little chunks of audio goodness? It's not like creators put thought and effort into crafting their episodes or anything... automatically generated chapters will make it so much easier for me to just mindlessly scroll through my podcasts without having to actually listen to the entire thing 😴. And yeah, links at timestamps are a great idea, because who doesn't love clicking on random things mid-listening session? πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ The fact that creators can opt-out is cool, I guess... like they'll all just magically get it right from now on πŸ’β€β™€οΈ. Anyway, this update sounds like it's gonna be a game-changer for podcasting... or at least make it slightly more tolerable πŸ˜’

πŸ€” I'm so stoked about the upcoming updates on Apple Podcasts! Having automatically generated chapters for shows released in English is gonna be a total game-changer. It's all about making our listening experience more immersive and convenient, right? 🎧 For me, it's like having my favorite podcast episodes organized and easily digestible, like a delicious meal 🍴 instead of a big ol' blob of info. And the ability to add links at specific timestamps is pure genius! I can imagine just clicking on a link to explore more content or discover new podcasts... it's like being part of a secret club 🀫. Can't wait to dive in and check out these new features when they roll out! πŸ’»
