In shocking incident, Brooklyn man, Anton Aleshin, 29, was arraigned on serious charges after allegedly using brute force against an elderly victim at the Bronx subway station.
According to authorities, Aleshin is accused of shoving a 72-year-old man onto a moving train during New Year's Day chaos. The incident occurred at the 161st Street-Yankee Stadium station, and officials confirmed that the victim had severe cuts on his head as a result.
Witnesses reported that they heard a 911 call around 3:30 am on Wednesday morning. Upon response, the police took Aleshin into custody and charged him with attempted murder and assault after reviewing surveillance footage.
The elderly victim suffered injuries but managed to get himself to hospital where he was stabilized, according to authorities.
