Chicago Police Uncover Suspects in Double Homicide of 'Hardworking' Father and Son
Two individuals wanted for questioning are now facing the scrutiny of Chicago police following the fatal shooting of a devoted father and his son outside their Little Village jewelry store last week. The victims, Faustino Alamo, 63, and his 25-year-old son Luis, were gunned down in a brazen attack that left their community shaken.
According to authorities, the perpetrators were described as male suspects wearing distinct clothing items: one was spotted wearing a black North Face jacket, brown baseball hat, glasses, black cargo pants, and gray sneakers. The other suspect donned a tan bucket hat, a Blackhawks jersey, tan pants, and black shoes. Police are now seeking information about these individuals in connection with the double homicide.
The shooting occurred on November 8th outside Faustino Alamo's jewelry store in the 3800 block of West 26th Street when a masked gunman walked into the shop, stole some jewels, and fled. Enraged by the crime, Faustino Alamo and his son chased after the suspect before becoming embroiled in a violent confrontation.
The situation escalated as both parties opened fire. However, police have revealed that Faustino Alamo returned one or two shots with his own firearm. The suspect then escaped into a waiting white Maserati SUV traveling south on Springfield Avenue.
A $10,000 reward has been put forth by Cook County Crime Stoppers in hopes of encouraging tips from the community, while the family of the victims is also seeking donations through a GoFundMe campaign to support their expenses.
