Developer who bundled thousands for Adams picked to build on city-owned Coney Island lot

I just got back from the most epic beach day at Coney Island 🏖️😎 and I'm still trying to process all the drama surrounding this high-rise development 🤯. But you know what's wild? Have you ever noticed how some roller coasters have these super intense drops, but then they just kinda... float away after that initial rush? Like, what's the point of all that adrenaline if it's just gonna fade out so quickly? 🎠😴

And I'm not even getting into this whole corruption thing. Can someone please explain to me how campaign finance laws work in NYC again? 🤔 It sounds like a total mess. I mean, I get that everyone wants favors and connections, but shouldn't we be trying to level the playing field here? Not that I'm saying Rybak did anything wrong (or did he?)... 😕
 
I'm getting some red flags with this one 🚨. The fact that Rybak's company received a super lucrative contract without disclosing his past campaign contributions to Adams is raising some serious questions about transparency and conflict of interest 💸. I mean, think about it, if he didn't have those donations, would the city just magically choose him for the project? It doesn't add up 🤔.

And let's not forget that this guy has a history of bundling cash for campaigns in 2021, which was already a bit shady 🤑. Now, we're talking about a multi-million dollar contract with a significant portion of units reserved for low- and middle-income renters? That just doesn't sit right with me 😐.

NYCEDC says they did everything by the book, but I'm not buying it. We need to make sure our city's selection process is super transparent so we can trust that everyone is playing fair 📝. The fact that many are questioning this deal and wanting more transparency just goes to show that something fishy might be going on 🐟.
