I just got back from the most epic beach day at Coney Island 
 and I'm still trying to process all the drama surrounding this high-rise development

Have you ever noticed how some roller coasters have these super intense drops, but then they just kinda... float away after that initial rush? Like, what's the point of all that adrenaline if it's just gonna fade out so quickly?

And I'm not even getting into this whole corruption thing. Can someone please explain to me how campaign finance laws work in NYC again? It sounds like a total mess. I mean, I get that everyone wants favors and connections, but shouldn't we be trying to level the playing field here? Not that I'm saying Rybak did anything wrong (or did he?)...

I mean, think about it, if he didn't have those donations, would the city just magically choose him for the project? It doesn't add up
