man I'm so stoked for these upcoming concerts in Palo Alto and Stanford! baroque music is like, my jam 
I've been listening to a lot of Rameau lately and I'm obsessed with his stuff. have you guys heard the original recordings? they're like, totally different from what we hear today... anyway, it's awesome that McGegan is back on stage after 35 years - he must be bringing so much energy and passion to these performances 
and i love that they're including some traditional Syrian and Moroccan songs in the concert series... it's gonna be such a unique blend of sounds. are you planning on going to either of these concerts?

! maestro nicholas mcgegan is definitely one of the best conductors out there, and i'm loving the idea of philharmonia baroque orchestra & chorale exploring different cultures through their performances 
. the fact that they're featuring traditional syrian and moroccan songs alongside baroque classics is genius 
. it's a great way to show how music can bring people together across borders and centuries. and can't wait for the world premiere of rameau's "la girlande" - sounds like it's going to be epic

i'm tellin u, maestro nicholas mcgegan's been leadin this philharmonia baroque orchestra for 35 yrs and its no coincidence, trust me. he's like the puppet master behind it all. and now they're premiering rameau's "la guirlande" at stanford? that's like a secret code right there 
! The fact that he's leading a series of concerts that combine some amazing classic Baroque pieces with traditional Syrian and Moroccan songs is gonna be so cool. I mean, who wouldn't want to hear Rameau's "La Guirlande" live for the first time ever? 
At the same time, isn't it kinda weird that we're still obsessed with this period? 
Don't get me wrong, I love a good Bach sonata or two, but shouldn't we be exploring new sounds by now? 
He's got this amazing energy that just makes you wanna move your body to the rhythm. The fact that they're doing a series of concerts featuring traditional Syrian and Moroccan songs too? That's like, totally awesome! It's not every day you get to experience that kind of cultural fusion with music. I'm definitely grabbing my tickets for both events - can't wait to see what McGegan has in store for us!
