This whole thing just blows my mind...
Like, a high-ranking aide to New York's governor is accused of secretly working for China? What were they thinking?!
I mean, I get that she was doing her job or whatever, but come on! You can't just take bribes and act like you're doing your country's business. It's not right.
And the fact that she forged Hochul's signature on a visa application? That's just gross. Like, what kind of person does that?!
I'm really worried about what kind of message this sends to our politicians and public servants. Are they all just in it for themselves?
I don't know, maybe Sun is telling the truth that she didn't have to register as a foreign agent because her actions aligned with US policy. But at the same time, isn't that just like looking the other way when you're supposed to be serving your country?
It's all so confusing.
Anyway, I hope the trial goes well and Sun gets what's coming to her. We need people in power who are willing to do the right thing, not just their own interests.
