Horror Thriller ‘Black Phone 2’ New On Streaming This Week, Report Says

Horror Sequel "Black Phone 2" Hits Digital Streaming This Week, Report Says

The highly anticipated horror film sequel "Black Phone 2", which opened in theaters on October 17, is reportedly available on digital streaming this week. The movie, directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Ethan Hawke as the sinister Grabber, follows Finn (Mason Thames) and his younger sister Gwen (Madeleine McGraw) as they face a new terror from beyond the grave.

According to a report by When to Stream, "Black Phone 2" will be available on digital platforms such as Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video, and YouTube. The film is expected to be released via premium video on demand (PVOD) this week, with a pre-order listing on Prime Video confirming its availability for purchase.

The movie's official summary reads: "As Finn, now 17, struggles with life after his captivity, the headstrong 15-year-old Gwen begins receiving calls in her dreams from the black phone and seeing disturbing visions of three boys being stalked at a winter camp known as Alpine Lake." The story takes a dark turn when Gwen uncovers a sinister connection between the Grabber and her own family's history.

"Black Phone 2" is part of a successful horror franchise, with its predecessor earning $61.4 million domestically and nearly $34.4 million internationally for a worldwide box office tally of $95.8 million. The film had a production budget of $30 million before prints and advertising costs.

In an interesting twist, Ethan Hawke has expressed his interest in another "Black Phone" movie, even suggesting that he would like to play the Grabber again in a potential third installment. "Genre's a great place to play, and every genre is kind of a sequel, in a way, because you're building off such preexisting expectations," Hawke told Entertainment Weekly.

The film's director, Scott Derrickson, has also been working on other horror projects, so it seems that the franchise may continue with a third movie. With its dark themes and intense plot, "Black Phone 2" is sure to terrify audiences once again.

OMG u guys I'm literally SO hyped for Black Phone 2 🤯🎃️! The fact that it's hitting digital streaming this week is like a dream come true 🙌. And can we talk about Ethan Hawke's interest in another Grabber role? 😱👻 Like, please do it, Ethan, please! 😂 I've heard the plot sounds soooo creepy and dark, can't wait to dive into it and find out what happens next 📺💀.

I'm low-key hyped for this new one... I mean, who doesn't love a good horror flick? The cast looks solid, Ethan Hawke's still got that creepy vibe goin' on 😏. Been hearin' mixed reviews from the initial one, but if it's as dark & twisted as they say, I'm in 👻. Still a bit concerned about the prequel aspect tho... seems like they're reelin' out all this family drama at once 🤯. Either way, 30 bucks for PVOD? That's a steal!

🎃️ Oh man, I'm both stoked and kinda meh about this new Black Phone sequel dropping on digital streaming this week 🤔. I mean, who doesn't love a good horror movie, right? 😅 But, let's be real, the first one was pretty cool, but it wasn't exactly perfect either... like, I get why they're doing a sequel, but are we really needing another Grabber storyline? 🤷‍♂️ Still, Ethan Hawke's gonna bring that same creepy energy, and Scott Derrickson's got some awesome horror chops under his belt 👻. Maybe this one'll be the dark horse (heh, get it?) that blows our minds... but we'll have to wait 'n' see! 🎥

omg can't believe they're finally dropping this sequel on digital streaming! i mean i know some ppl were disappointed it didn't come out sooner but im hyped it's finally here 🎃👻 and ethan hawke as the grabber is still giving me chills!! i heard he might be open to reprising his role in another installment lol that would be insane 💀 anyway cant wait to watch this one with my friends online, gonna make some popcorn and have a scary movie night 🍿👻

the more i think about it, the more i realize how our childhood traumas can shape us in ways we never thought possible 🤯. ethan hawke's character, grabber, is like a manifestation of that trauma - he represents the dark corners of our psyche that we try to keep hidden but somehow always seem to find their way back into our lives.

it's also fascinating how our younger selves can hold onto the pain and fear from our past, even as we grow older. in this case, gwen is still receiving calls on her black phone - it's like she's stuck in a time loop, reliving the same horrors over and over again 📞. does that make us think about how we process trauma? do we ever truly heal, or do our scars just fade into the background and wait for us to forget? 🤔

I'm still thinking about Black Phone... like what's up with that Grabber dude 🤯? Ethan Hawke was so good in the first one, I'd love to see him back as the villain. And now they're making another one? This should be interesting... I mean, who gets scared out of their wits by a phone that only works at night? 😂 It's not like they can even escape or anything. Can't wait to see what kind of crazy stuff happens in this new installment. But honestly, have you seen the trailer for Black Phone 2? Those visuals look super creepy... like I'm already on edge just thinking about it 😅

omg i'm so down for another round of black phone! 😱 ethan hawke's acting skills are always on point and scott derrickson's direction is so masterful. the idea that gwen might uncover a connection between her family and the grabber is literally giving me all the chills 🎃🔪 i'm also kinda curious about this potential third installment - would ethan hawke reprise his role as the grabber? 😳 let's hope they can live up to the hype of the first movie! 👍

I don’t usually comment but I think it’s kinda cool how they’re making a digital release for this horror movie 🎃️. Like, who doesn’t love a good scare on their phone or tablet? The fact that Ethan Hawke wants to play the Grabber again is pretty interesting too, maybe he's got some more tricks up his sleeve 😏. I mean, it’s not like we don’t know what a horror movie with an old man in a creepy mask can do to us, right? 😱 Still, I’m curious to see how this sequel turns out and if it lives up to the hype 🤔

I'm still shaking my head about the first one, remember when I watched "Black Phone" with my friends back in college? We were all freaking out after that scene where Ethan Hawke's character captures Finn... what a wild ride! Now it seems like we're getting another dose of terror with this sequel. The idea of Gwen receiving calls from the black phone in her dreams is super creepy, I'm already on edge thinking about it 🤯. Can't wait to see how this one plays out, hope it's even more intense than the first one! 😱

I'm low-key hyped for this sequel 🤔👻 but at the same time, I'm also kinda nervous about it... I mean, we just left off on a pretty dark note with the first film, and now they're throwing in more family drama and supernatural stuff? It's like, can they even handle that kind of complexity? 😬 And what's up with Ethan Hawke wanting to play Grabber again? Like, isn't he old enough to be Finn by now? 🤣 Just don't mess it up, guys... we need this sequel to be just as scary as the first one was 💀

omg u guys, cant wait for black phone 2!!! 🎃👻 i mean, scott derrickson is like the king of horror movies after seeing the first one i was on edge the whole time 😱 and ethan hawke as the grabber is just giving me chills lol he's so good at playing creepy characters 🤔 i heard it's gonna be available on prime video this week, which means i'll be able to watch it with my friends and freak ourselves out together 📺💀

I'm actually kinda excited for this new one 🎃️! I've seen the first one, and while it was super creepy, I think the setup for "Black Phone 2" sounds even more unsettling 😱. The idea of Finn and Gwen dealing with a new threat from beyond the grave is just chilling 🕷️. Ethan Hawke's involvement in another potential third installment would be awesome too 👍! The trailer looked so intense, and with Mason Thames and Madeleine McGraw reprising their roles, it's gonna be a wild ride 😱. But, what do you think about the plot? Are we in for another thrilling ride, or is it just more of the same old horror cliche's 🤔? And, can they top the first movie's $95.8 million box office haul 🤑?

I'm low-key hyped about this new horror flick "Black Phone 2" 🎃👻 but I'm also a bit skeptical if it can live up to the hype of its predecessor. The plot sounds super dark and twisted, which is kinda what horror fans are looking for, but at the same time it's got all these questions about Gwen's family history that could get pretty confusing. And let's be real, Ethan Hawke is already a master of playing creepy characters so I'm not holding my breath for a major plot twist. Still, I'd definitely check it out on digital streaming this week 📺💻
