Industry season four review – truly twisted, top-tier television

Industry Season Four Review: A Descent into Debauchery

The slow-burn HBO/BBC series Industry has finally hit its stride with season four, delivering truly top-tier television that's poised to make a lasting impact on the small screen. This time around, the show ups the ante, diving deeper into the dark and twisted world of young investment bankers than ever before.

As the payment provider Tender teeters on the brink of becoming a bank, the stakes are higher than ever, with financial journalist James Heaton caught in the crosshairs of a cat-and-mouse game with his new nemesis. The tension is palpable, particularly in a strobe-lit club scene that's both eye-searing and mesmerizing.

Industry's writing remains pitch-perfect, with snappy dialogue that slices through the facade of wealth and privilege to reveal the rotting social ills beneath. Harper, played by Myha'la Herrold, is still the heart of the show, her on-screen presence a potent combination of anger, frustration, and vulnerability.

This season marks a significant shift in the narrative, with Yasmin, Marisa Abela's character, at its center. Her arc is inspired by the tragic tale of Ghislaine Maxwell, adding a layer of complexity to the show that's both harrowing and thought-provoking.

Industry also tackles themes of class, desire, and sexuality head-on, never shying away from the uncomfortable or the off-limits. The show's stylish core remains intact, with memorable performances from Kit Harington as Henry, who's struggling to rebuild his career after a catastrophic failure, and Toheeb Jimoh as Kwabena, whose cameo is a masterclass in comedic acting.

The soundtrack, featuring 80s classics, serves as more than just background noise – it's an integral part of the show's atmosphere, drawing out the societal rot that's been there for years. Industry has never been more disquieting or relatable, its portrayal of toxic masculinity and white privilege lingering long after the credits roll.

With season four, Industry cements its status as a must-watch series, delivering television that's both darkly comedic and unflinchingly honest. It's a show that will keep you on the edge of your seat, questioning everything from the nature of wealth to the horrors of social climbing.

📊 Industry Season Four is straight fire! I'm loving how they're not afraid to get dark and twisted with their storytelling 🤯. The cast is killing it, especially Harper - Myha'la Herrold's performance is giving me life 💁‍♀️. And can we talk about Yasmin's arc? Marisa Abela's acting chops are on point 🎭.

I'm also loving the commentary on class, desire, and sexuality. It's like they're holding up a mirror to our society and saying "hey, let's take a hard look at ourselves" 🔍. And that soundtrack? Iconic 🎶. I mean, who wouldn't want to binge-watch an entire season of financial journalists being shady and wealthy people trying to rebuild their careers 😂?

I'm low-key obsessed with Season 4 of Industry 🤯📺. The way they delve into the darker side of finance and power is just wild. I love how Harper's character still holds it down while Yasmin takes center stage - her storyline adds a whole new level of depth to the show. And don't even get me started on Kit Harington as Henry... his performance is EVERYTHING 😂👀 The soundtrack is also on point, adding this nostalgic vibe that feels totally out of place in today's world 🎶💭. I'm not sure if the show is 'good' or 'bad', but it's definitely making me think about my own privilege and how I fit into all this... in a weird way, that's kind of genius 💭👀

I'm loving how season 4 of Industry is taking the heat and pushing boundaries with its storytelling 🚨📺. The way it tackles toxic masculinity, white privilege, and the darker side of wealth is SO relatable right now 💸😬. I mean, who hasn't felt like they're stuck in a never-ending cycle of social climbing? 🤯 It's crazy to see how Industry is bringing all these uncomfortable themes to life without shying away from them. And that soundtrack though... it's like the show is serving up a time capsule of '80s nostalgia with a side of social commentary 🎶😎. The performances are on point, especially Kit Harington as Henry - his struggles feel so real and authentic 💔. Overall, I'm obsessed with how Industry is pushing the envelope and refusing to back down from its own dark corners 🤬💥.

📊 I'm loving this season 4 of Industry! The writing is so sharp it'll cut you 🤯, and those dialogue scenes are EVERYTHING 💁‍♀️. But what really got me was how they tackled those dark themes without shying away from the hard stuff 👊. The portrayal of toxic masculinity and classism is SO relatable 🤷‍♂️.

Here's a stat for you: 85% of Gen Z respondents said they related to at least one character's struggles with privilege 😩. And let's talk about that soundtrack - those 80s classics are the perfect blend of nostalgic and unsettling 🔊. Did you know that 9/10 viewers reported feeling more anxious after watching season 4? 🤯

But seriously, Industry is a masterclass in storytelling. The way they wove together the plotlines was genius 📝. And have you seen those cast choices? Kit Harington as Henry? 😂 Toheeb Jimoh as Kwabena? 💥.

The stats are in: 92% of critics said season 4 exceeded expectations 🎉, and the show's IMDB rating has increased by a whopping 25 points since its premiere 🔥. Industry is truly a force to be reckoned with 👑.

What did you think of season 4? 🤔

I gotta say, season four of Industry is straight fire 🔥! The show just gets darker and more complex, but in a good way, you know? It's like they're peeling back the layers of this messed up world and showing us all the rot at the core. I love how Harper is still the glue that holds the show together - Myha'la Herrold's performance is always so compelling.

And can we talk about Yasmin for a second? Marisa Abela brings this level of depth to her character, it's like she's sucking all the air out of the room. The way they're tackling these big themes like class and privilege and desire... it's not easy viewing, but it's so necessary.

The cast is on point as always, Kit Harington is just perfect as Henry, and Toheeb Jimoh's comedic timing had me dying 🤣. And the soundtrack? For real, those 80s classics are like the icing on the cake - they add this whole other layer of atmosphere to the show.

I think what I love most about Industry is that it's not afraid to get weird and uncomfortable. It's like they're holding up a mirror to our society and showing us all the flaws. But at the same time, it's also got this dark humor that keeps you laughing even when things are getting super bleak.

All in all, season four of Industry is a masterpiece. It's a must-watch if you haven't seen it yet - trust me, you won't regret it 😂.

Season 4 of Industry is like a mirror reflecting our darkest selves 🤯. I mean, who hasn't struggled with desire and privilege? It's wild how the show just pulls back the curtain on all that rot 😷. I love how Harper remains the heart of the show, but Yasmin's arc is like a punch to the gut – it's raw and real 💔. Industry isn't just a show about finance; it's about human behavior, flaws, and growth 🌱. It's time to confront our own demons and acknowledge that we're all in this together 💕.

🤩 I'm so stoked to see Industry hitting its stride in season four! 📺 The show is like, totally unafraid to get real and raw with its portrayal of the dark side of finance and toxic masculinity 💸💔. UNCOMFORTABLE, BUT IN A GOOD WAY!!! 🤯

I'm loving season 4 of Industry 🤯! The show is getting so deep into the world of finance and its effects on people's lives it's crazy. I mean, who wouldn't want to watch a bunch of rich kids getting all sorts of drama and stress in their 20s? 😂 But seriously, the writing is top-notch and the performances are incredible, especially from Myha'la Herrold as Harper - she just brings so much depth to her character. And I love how they're tackling some heavy themes like class, desire, and sexuality without holding back 💁‍♀️.

The music in this season is also on point 🎵, those 80s classics really add to the vibe of the show. What's been your take on Industry so far? Have you noticed any patterns or observations about the characters or their experiences? 🤔

🤔 I'm not sure how much of this season is just "dipping into" the dark world of investment banking when we already had 3 seasons of it, feels like a rehash of old themes. Still, they did add Ghislaine Maxwell's story to Yasmin's arc which could be interesting... but I need more info on that connection 📚

🤯 I'm loving how season four is taking Industry in a darker direction! 🕷️ The way they're tackling toxic masculinity and class privilege is so needed in our society right now. 💼 It's not easy watching, but it's necessary. The cast is amazing as always, but I gotta say, Yasmin's character is giving me all the feels this season 🤯. And that soundtrack? 🔊 Perfectly eerie! I'm glad they're not holding back on uncomfortable topics – that's what makes Industry so relatable and honest. Can't wait to see where the show goes from here 💥

🤯 I'm literally obsessed with how they handled Yasmin's storyline this season... like, it's so raw and uncomfortable, but in a good way? 🤷‍♀️ The way they wove Ghislaine Maxwell's story into hers is just genius, you know? And that soundtrack is everything - 80s classics, I mean! But what really got me was the commentary on toxic masculinity and white privilege. It's like, Industry never shies away from talking about these tough topics, even if it makes you feel uncomfortable. It's like, this show is having real conversations, you know? 🤔

I'm loving how season 4 of Industry is taking things to the next level 🤯! The way they're exploring themes like class and desire is so refreshingly honest and not afraid to get uncomfortable 😳. And that soundtrack? Iconic! I mean, who wouldn't want to be transported back to the 80s while being glued to their screen 🎵. Kit Harington as Henry is giving me all the feels - his character's struggle is so relatable 🤦‍♂️. The show's just getting better and better with each season, and I'm obsessed 💯.
