Lethal Illusion: Understanding the Death Penalty Apparatus

I mean have you seen those three-drug protocols they use in Oklahoma? It's all a bit suspicious if you ask me... 🤔 The dude's dead before he even knows what's happening, so how can we be sure it's not some messed up chemical cocktail that's actually the real punishment 😬. And what about all these witnesses who have to go through this trauma? I feel bad for them, but at least they're not the ones getting a lethal injection 💀. The whole system feels like a joke, if you ask me...

I think its pretty messed up how we still have this death penalty thing in place in the US... 🤯 I mean, its been around since like 1708 and hasnt changed much over the years... the fact that you got people witnessing executions and they just chill on the side with their hands up is crazy... 🙌 or at least thats what we think is happening. The thing is, most of us dont know what its really like to be in those shoes or what youre going through during the execution process... 🤷‍♂️ it feels kinda insensitive when people are just trying to make sense outta something that might never happen again.

i think its crazy how focused we are on individual cases when theres so much bigger issues at play like mass incarceration and systemic racism 🤯 the three-drug protocol might seem humane but what really goes down in that chamber is anyone's guess 💀 and gentner drummond putting his hand on the witness's shoulder after the execution is just plain weird 🙅‍♂️ gotta keep pushing for reform and a more informed conversation about this whole thing 👊
