Lucas Havrisik Expected Be The Green Bay Packers’ Kicker Sunday

Lucas Havrisik Poised To Fill Kicking Void for Green Bay Packers

The Packers' struggling kicker position has seen another twist with Brandon McManus listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. As a result, Lucas Havrisik will likely take on kicking duties against Big Blue, following a productive stint earlier this season.

Havrisik made all four of his field goals and went 6-of-6 on extra points during his limited appearances when McManus missed two games last month. The young kicker's confidence appears to be growing, having expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue working despite his inactivity over the past three weeks.

"We're back to being a mess at that position," Packers special teams coach Rich Bisaccia noted, highlighting the team's struggles since McManus suffered an injury. "Right now we're working through coming back from all of this injury, which he hasn't had for a long time."

McManus' recent performance has been underwhelming, going just 4-of-8 on field goals and 5-of-5 on extra points in his last two games. This brings his season totals to 11-of-17 on field goals and a conversion rate of 64.7%, ranking him last among the 39 kickers who have attempted field goals this year.

By contrast, Havrisik's performances have been more promising, with all 10 of his kicks resulting in points during McManus' absence. The Packers signed Havrisik on October 11 and have since carried two kickers on their roster.

"I didn't think I was going to be here this long," Havrisik said in a recent interview. "I just take every day for as best as I can with my work and go from there." As the game against the Giants approaches, Havrisik will aim to bring consistency back to the Packers' kicking duties.

🤔 so like i think havrisik is gonna do alright on sunday...he's shown some good form when mcmanus is out but we'll see how he holds up against a tough giants team 🏈. i mean, he can't replicate mcmanus' accuracy all the time but maybe he can just try to be more consistent and get us through these tough kicking games 🔥. it's also nice that he's got a positive attitude about his situation, keeps things in perspective 😊

Yooo I feel like the Packers need to find that stability at kicker ASAP! Lucas Havrisik's looking sharp tho 🤩. I mean, he's only been with the team for a bit but he's already making a big impact. The problem is they can't rely on McManus no more... his performance has been pretty meh lately 😐. It's all about confidence and Havrisik seems to have it in spades right now 💪. Let's hope he keeps it up and brings some consistency to the table!

man i think lucas havrisik is gonna be the real deal 🤩 he's been doing way better than mcmanus lately and it's crazy how the packers are just giving him chances now they should've stuck with him from the start lol, maybe it's time for them to reevaluate their whole kicking game, not that it's a huge deal or anything...

🤦‍♂️ Oh man, it's crazy how things have changed in the NFL! Remember when kickers were actually reliable? 😂 Nowadays, they're like a coin toss - you never know what you're gonna get. I mean, Lucas Havrisik is giving it a go against the Giants and I hope he can bring some consistency to the Packers' special teams. 🤞 They've been struggling with McManus, but at least someone's taking the reins and trying to turn things around. 💪

omg this is so interesting! i think lucas havrisik has a good shot at becoming the packers' new kicker 🤞 but we gotta see how he holds up under pressure on sunday... 4 for 8 on field goals in his last two games for mcmanus? that's not exactly ideal 👎. rich bisaccia saying they're "back to being a mess" at that position is pretty accurate tbh 😂. havrisik seems like the right kid for the job, though - all 10 kicks resulting in points while mcmanus was out? that's some sweet confidence boost 💪

man they really need lucas havrisik on their team he's been doing way better than mcmanus lately 🤞 at least the packers have that going for them... gotta feel bad for bisaccia and the rest of the team, special teams can be such a mess 💥 hope havrisik keeps it up, 64.7% might not be great but it's leagues better than mcmanus' recent numbers 📉

omg, finally someone decent at kicking for the packers 🙄 - Lucas Havrisik's gotta be a breath of fresh air after that McManus disaster 💔. like, 6/6 on extras? that's insane 🔥. and to think he was just worried about being there so long... I get it tho, you wanna make the most of your time 🕒️. now if they can just get their act together on the field, maybe this season won't be a total loss 😐. Fingers crossed for ya Havrisik! 💪

omg how did it come to this tho? the packers have been struggling so bad at kicker they're literally just throwing darts out there 🤯 and now lucas havrisik is like "okay i got this" 😎 but seriously though, 11-of-17 field goals by mcmanus is not great at all 🙅‍♂️ maybe he's still hurt or something? and what's up with having two kickers on the roster? just pick one already! 🤷‍♂️ havrisik seems like a decent backup though, hope he can bring some consistency to that position 😊

Can you believe it? Kicking games have gotten so crazy! Back in my day 🤯 we didn't need all these kickers on the team, one guy was enough... and they were actually good at their jobs 💪. Now they're carrying two guys just in case one of them screws up 🤦‍♂️. I mean I'm happy for Lucas Havrisik, he's doing a great job so far, but can't we just have a reliable kicker already? 😩 It's like, what's the plan here? Are they gonna keep switching it up until someone gets hurt or something? 🤔

So the Green Bay Packers are having major issues with their kicker position again 🤦‍♂️, which is pretty frustrating for fans. It's not like they're trying to replace McManus or anything - he's been out for a while due to injury 🏥. The team is really struggling since his return, and it's anyone's guess who'll be kicking next week.

On the bright side, Lucas Havrisik seems to be gaining confidence with his recent performances 👍. I mean, going 6-for-6 on extra points isn't bad at all! He's definitely got the skills and seems like a solid backup - but can he keep up this consistency? The team needs him to, especially if McManus is still doubtful for Sunday.

It's also interesting that the coach mentions they're "working through" coming back from injuries 🤝. Maybe with some practice and experience, Havrisik will be able to bring stability to the position. Fingers crossed! 👍

You know what's wild? I was watching this old video of David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust concert last night 😂 and it hit me - how much football (and kickers) have we seen lately?! 🏈👀 It feels like every other week, there's a new kicker injury or controversy. Anyway, back to Havrisik... I hope he brings some stability to the Packers' kicking game. Reminds me of that time I went on a road trip and tried this crazy spicy wing sauce at a roadside diner 🌶️. Let's just say it was an experience 😅
