A former Spanish football federation president, Luis Rubiales, narrowly escaped physical harm when eggs were thrown at him during a book launch event in Madrid on Thursday. According to Rubiales himself, the assailant was his own uncle - an astonishing claim he later clarified as "a deranged person".
Rubiales was attending a book presentation for his new publication 'Matar a Rubiales' (Killing Rubiales) when his alleged relative attempted to attack him with eggs. . on one hand, i get where he's coming from - yeah, someone needs to be held accountable for those sexist comments about Hermoso... but seriously, throwing eggs at him? that's just crazy talk
