Mayor Eileen Higgins says "a lot of joy" and "nervousness" in Miami after Maduro's capture

IM SO GLAD TO SEE SOMEONE IS FINALLY TAKING A STAND AND PROTECTING THESE VENEZUELAN PEOPLE WHO'VE BEEN SUFFERING FOR YEARS!!! 🤝🌎 IT'S ABOUT TIME SOMEONE TALKS ABOUT THE REAL CONSEQUENCES OF MADURO'S RULE - NOT JUST THE CELEBRATING BUT ALSO THE FEAR AND UNCERTAINTY THAT COMES WITH IT!!! 💔😬 I MEAN, WE CAN'T JUST FORGET ABOUT THE FACT THAT THESE PEOPLE HAVE LIVES, FAMILIES, AND LOVED ONES WHO ARE ALL BEING AFFECTED BY THIS NEWS!!! 🤯👪

OMG, can't believe what's happening in Miami 🤯! I'm so down for Maduro getting caught, but at the same time, I feel bad for all those Venezuelans who are already living their lives here 😕. Mayor Higgins is totally right tho - we gotta protect our expat community, they've built new lives here and deserve a safe space 🌴. It's wild how some people are hailing it as a democracy win, but what about the potential aftermath? 😬 I hope Miami stays calm and that everyone gets a chance to breathe a sigh of relief 💨. Let's see how this plays out...

🤔 I've got friends who are Venezuelan expats in Miami and they're all freaked out right now 🙅‍♂️. Like, what's gonna happen to their families back home? Will Maduro's arrest lead to retaliation against the people of Venezuela or just be a major win for democracy 💪? We should be thinking about how we can support these ppl in Miami who are already living with anxiety 🤕. The mayor's words sound good and all, but what's the plan, huh? How are they gonna make sure these people feel safe? 🚔
