NFC Hierarchy/Obituary: Week 9 edition

The NFC hierarchy continues to take shape as teams navigate their ways through the 2025 NFL season. The Giants, who have been written off before, failed to impress once again this week, falling to a dismal 2-6 record. This marks a continuation of their downward trajectory since Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll took over the reins in 2022.

Daboll's career record now stands at 20-38-1, with a -18 win-loss differential that puts him at the bottom of active head coaches. His sideline tantrums have become a regular occurrence, with players and officials alike feeling the brunt of his frustration.

The Giants' struggles are not unique, however. The Falcons, who finished Week 8 with a dismal 3-4 record, found themselves shut out by the Panthers and blown out by the Dolphins. Their season is all but over, with no clear path to salvation.

The Commanders, meanwhile, have been worse than expected, losing three straight games and facing an uphill battle in the NFC East. The Cowboys' defense has been a major issue, and Matt Eberflus will likely face increased scrutiny for his inability to stop opposing offenses.

The 49ers, who held three opponents to single-digit points this week, are on the rise but have injuries mounting. Carson Wentz is playing through significant injuries, and the team's future is uncertain.

The Eagles continue to dominate the NFC East, with a Week 8 win over the Giants that saw them come close to winning the turnover battle. Jalen Hurts' efficiency was key in their victory, and the team appears to be on track for another strong season.

The Packers remain one of the top teams in the league, with Micah Parsons making plays like only he can. The Lions, who finished Week 8 with a 5-2 record, are still atop the NFC hierarchy but face stiff competition from the Eagles and Packers.

As we head into Week 9, the NFC landscape is set for some intense battles. Will the Giants be able to right their ship? Can the Commanders turn their season around? The answers will become clear in the coming weeks, but one thing is certain: this year's NFC hierarchy has a lot of moving parts.

πŸ€• The NFC is looking pretty bleak for the Giants, they're like the human version of a zombie apocalypse right now πŸ˜‚. Daboll's antics are just making it worse, players and coaches alike are fed up with him πŸ™„. And don't even get me started on the Falcons, their season is literally over 😩.

And what's with the Commanders? They were supposed to be the team everyone was rooting for, but now they're a mess πŸ’”. Matt Eberflus needs to get his act together or he'll be out of a job 🚫.

On the other hand, the 49ers are on the rise, but Carson Wentz is playing through some major injuries πŸ€•. And what about the Giants' fans? They're stuck with a team that can't even win 3 games in a row 😩.

It's gonna be an interesting Week 9, folks... not because I'm excited to watch any of these teams play, but more because I want to see if anyone can actually get it together πŸ€”.

πŸ€” NFC teams, what's going on?! The Giants are like a one-way ticket to nowhere 🚫, Daboll needs to chill out πŸ˜’, and the Falcons are donezo πŸ’₯. Commanders, you're getting crushed 🀯. On the other hand, Eagles keep dominating πŸ†, 49ers are rising from the ashes πŸ”₯, and Packers are still on top πŸ‘‘. Lions, you're doing well, but don't get too comfortable πŸ˜…. This season is all about upsets and surprises... let's see how it plays out πŸ’ͺ

The Giants are really struggling this season, and it's not just them - Daboll's coaching style is super questionable too πŸ€”. I mean, tantrums on the sideline? That's just bad sportsmanship, right? And his career record is 20-38-1? πŸ˜‚ Not exactly setting the NFL ablaze, is he?

And don't even get me started on the Commanders - they're like the ultimate disappointment team πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. Losing three straight games and facing an uphill battle in the NFC East? That's not a recipe for success.

The 49ers are on the rise, but Carson Wentz is playing through some serious injuries 😷. Can he keep them going? And what about the Eagles - they're dominating the NFC East, but can they stay consistent?

It's also gotta be said that the Packers and Lions are killing it right now 🏈. Parsons is like a superhero on the field! πŸ”₯ But hey, you never know what's gonna happen in the NFL. It's always full of surprises.

Anyway, I'm keeping an eye on these teams, especially the Giants and Commanders. Will they turn their seasons around? We'll just have to wait and see 😊.

the giants are just not getting it done πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ, all that hype and no results... poor joe schoen and brian daboll can't catch a break 😩. and what's up with daboll's tantrums? like, calm down dude πŸ™„. anyways, gotta give props to the 49ers though - they're on fire πŸ”₯ and carson wentz is playing through some major injuries πŸ’‰. and those eagles are just dominating everything 🀯. and can someone please explain why the commanders are so bad? πŸ€” 3-5 record and it's all but over for them 😞

Ugh πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ, can't believe how bad it's looking for the Giants 😩. They've been written off before and now they're just continuing their downward spiral πŸ“‰. Daboll's sideline tantrums are getting old, dude πŸ‘Ž. And the Falcons, who were supposed to be a contender, are already done πŸ’”. It's like they got left in the dust and can't get back up πŸŒƒ.

The Commanders' situation is just as bad, they're getting crushed 🀯. And what's going on with their defense? πŸ˜• Matt Eberflus needs to step up his game or else he's outta there πŸ”₯.

And don't even get me started on the Cowboys' defense 😑. They need to figure it out pronto, or they'll be left in the dust πŸš—. The 49ers are looking good though, but those injuries are getting worrisome ⚠️. And what about Carson Wentz? Is he gonna be able to lead his team to victory despite all that pain 😩.

One thing's for sure, this NFC hierarchy is going to be super competitive πŸ”₯. We'll see some intense battles ahead and it's anyone's game 🎲. Bring on Week 9! πŸ’ͺ

the giants are like, totally tanking this season πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ their coach daboll's losing streak is getting pretty embarrassing... i mean, 20 losses in two years? that's just crazy talk 🚨 but seriously, the falcons and commanders aren't doing much better either... they gotta get it together or risk falling out of the top 5 altogether πŸ’”

The NFC hierarchy is looking pretty shakey right now 🀯, especially with the Giants struggling so hard. I mean, 2-6 is a pretty big deal for a team that was supposed to be all about rebuilding πŸ“ˆ. Daboll's tantrums are getting old too πŸ˜’, can't he just keep it together for one game? Meanwhile, the Commanders and Falcons are basically donezo 🚫, might as well start looking at the draft picks πŸ’Έ. The 49ers are trying to stay on track despite all these injuries πŸ€•, but Carson Wentz is playing through some serious hurt. And don't even get me started on the Giants' defense 🚨, it's like they're giving opposing teams a free pass πŸŽ‰. The Eagles and Packers are still killing it πŸ’ͺ, and the Lions are looking strong too 🦁. We'll just have to wait and see what happens in Week 9 πŸ‘€, but one thing's for sure - this season is getting more interesting by the day! πŸ”₯ #NFL #NFCHierarchy #FootballFrenzy

I'm low-key worried about Carson Wentz's injuries... like, what if he gets hurt for real? The 49ers would be so lost without him πŸ€•. And can't the Commanders' defense just get it together already? They're making me want to pull my hair out 😩. The Giants are really struggling this year, I feel bad for them... they deserve a win more than anyone πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ.

I'm so late to the party lol πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ, but I gotta say, it's not surprising to see the Giants struggling again. They've had some great talent over the years, but their leadership has always been kinda... sketchy πŸ€”. Daboll's tantrums are getting old, and it's like he's just expecting his team to magically turn things around πŸ˜‚.

I'm actually a big fan of Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, they've got a great squad this year πŸ”₯. And the 49ers' defense is looking super strong 🚫, even with all those injuries they're still holding it together.

The Lions are definitely the team to beat right now πŸ’ͺ, but I'm worried about Carson Wentz's health πŸ€•. If he goes down for an extended period, the whole team falls apart. And what's up with Matt Eberflus and the Commanders? They just can't seem to get it together πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.

Anyway, love seeing the NFC hierarchy take shape πŸ’‘, it's always fun to speculate about which teams will rise to the top and which ones will sink to the bottom πŸ˜†. Can't wait to see what Week 9 brings!

🀯 I'm surprised by how far down the Giants have fallen, but it's not like anyone expected them to be this bad. Daboll needs to get his act together ASAP or he'll be out of a job come next season. 🚫 And what's up with the Commanders? They're supposed to be one of the top teams in the NFC East and they can't even beat the 3-4 Falcons? πŸ˜‚ Matt Eberflus needs to take responsibility for his defense and get it fixed or he'll be the one getting fired. 🚫 On the other hand, the Eagles are looking pretty solid right now. Jalen Hurts is on fire! πŸ”₯ Can't wait to see how they do against the Lions next week. πŸ’ͺ
