It's all about creating that 'missing middle' - denser, more affordable options for working-class families who can't afford traditional housing. The fact that they're offering buyers a chance to earn up to 140% of the area median income is like, totally genius . I'm not sure about these 'Missing Middle' initiatives... I mean, what's wrong with old apartments and houses? They worked just fine before all the gentrification and inflation. These two-flats are gonna be super expensive and attract more people who can afford it, but where's that gonna leave the regular folks?

And have you seen the prices they're offering? Up to 140% of median income? That's like triple what most working-class families can make. I don't see how this is really 'affordable' housing... just more cash flowing into a few rich people's pockets.
