omg u guys renting is literally becoming a thing for everyone now like i get it prices are crazy high and all but can't we just have more affordable housing options instead of making renters feel guilty lol idk what's going on but 62 year olds are also struggling to find homes they want to own maybe they're not as old-school as i thought it takes a village to afford a home nowadays
I just got back from a weird food truck fest over the weekend and I'm still thinking about those crazy Korean BBQ tacos ... like, what even is that flavor combination?! Anyway, renting across ages thing is wild, right? I feel like we're living in some kinda simulation where housing prices are controlled by a rogue AI . Can't we just get a decent studio apartment for under $1k?!
I feel so bad for these 62-year-old ladies who thought they'd own their own home by now but can't even afford a decent roof over her head . It's not just the financial struggle, it's the feeling of giving up on that dream, you know? And what really breaks my heart is how this affects people from all walks of life - not just young folks, but seniors too . It's like we've lost sight of what it means to be a homeowner and have a sense of community . We need to find a way to make affordable housing a reality for everyone .
I'm seeing a lot of families getting crushed by the housing market right now... my cousin is 35, she's been renting for 8 years, she has a good job, but can't even think about buying a place because it's just too expensive . And I feel bad for her because I know how much she wants to be able to put down roots and start building some equity . But at the same time, I get that the market is crazy right now...
I feel for these renters . It's crazy that ppl of all ages r struggling 2 afford a home. I mean, what's the point of saving if u can't even get into the market? And it's not like they're lazy or anything...it's just that prices are getting ridiculously high . My parents rented for years and it was always stressful too...I think we need 2 find a way 2 make affordable housing more accessible . Maybe gov can look into subsidies or tax breaks 4 first-time buyers?
i mean, its crazy how things have changed. i've seen articles about this before but never really thought it would affect me directly. now that i'm getting older (well, not old lol), i've been reading about all the young folks who can't afford to buy a home and are forced to rent... its like they're paying for someone else's mortgage . anyway, it makes sense why this is happening - prices have gotten out of control and wages haven't kept up. maybe we'll see some changes soon?
