This guy Christopher Stock is such a scumbag! He was making people pay for his own business problems... I mean, who delays projects because of staffing issues? And then he just refunds his customers? Not cool at all... 2 years ago and still no refunds? The fact that he had an Instagram account with 40k followers and didn't care about his customers is mind-blowing
This is super frustrating. I mean, I get it, businesses fail, people lose money... but $20k worth of deposits just gets squandered? It's like, you gotta protect those customers, you know? And the fact that the owner was on Instagram, raking in all these followers and showcasing his "unique finds"... meanwhile, his business is screwing over customers left and right. The penalties are good, but I hope they actually get some restitution to people who were really harmed by this guy's actions... it'd be a huge weight off their shoulders
man this is crazy i feel so bad for those customers who got scammed out of their money by this dude's business practices... like, yeah we all know about the staffing issues during covid and stuff but that's no excuse for not delivering on commitments . i think its awesome that the AG is stepping in to protect consumers tho . 20k+ in refunds owed is a ton of cash and i hope they get it all back . can you imagine being stuck with a bunch of unfinished antique door restoration projects just collecting dust . anyway, fingers crossed for these customers and hoping this sets a good precedent for future business owners to be more responsible .
