Premier League thrills while Dr Tottenham leaves it late | Football Weekly – video

The Premier League delivered its signature brand of high-stakes drama this weekend, as several thrilling matches played out across the country.

At the forefront was Manchester City's 2-1 comeback victory over Liverpool at Anfield. The Reds took an early lead through Jordan Henderson's 22nd-minute strike, but a resurgent City side, spearheaded by Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden, clawed their way back into the contest. Sergio Aguero sealed the win with a late, 89th-minute winner that left Liverpool fans reeling.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur snuck in a late goal to pip Crystal Palace 3-2 at Selhurst Park. The Spurs side was led by Heung-Min Son's clinical finish in the 83rd minute, which handed them all three points. Despite a spirited effort from Eagles' striker Wilfried Zaha, Spurs held on for a hard-fought win.

Another match that had fans on the edge of their seats was Newcastle United's 4-3 thriller against Chelsea at St James' Park. The Magpies bounced back from 2-0 down to level the score with a trio of goals from Allan Saint-Maximin, Miguel Almiron, and Jacob Murphy. However, the Blues ultimately held on for a narrow win, thanks in large part to the impressive form of Kai Havertz.

In other results, Manchester United secured a crucial 2-1 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford, while West Ham United earned a vital 3-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at The London Stadium.

omg that aguero goal was INSANE!!! 😲 i mean who else can score a winner from like 20 yards out in the 89th minute? it's like he's got superpowers! 🧙‍♂️ anyway back to the manchester city game, what a comeback by de bruyne and foden! they're literally unstoppable on the pitch. and that henderson goal was a real bummer for liverpool fans... poor guys 😔

ugh dont think liverpool got robbed that aguero goal wasnt even onside 🤣 and man citys comeback was more like a decent chance than resurgent 😒 anyway think spurs shouldve gotten more credit for their win against palace, son's goal was super clutch 💪 and newcastle showed some serious guts to come back from 2-0 down, cant fault them for trying hard 🤷‍♂️

🤔 So, a comeback win for Manchester City against Liverpool? Nice, but how come they didn't manage to take the lead sooner considering De Bruyne's skills? 🏃‍♂️ Also, that late goal from Aguero was quite lucky - 89th minute is basically last resort for strikers! 😅 And what about that Newcastle vs Chelsea match? How did Kai Havertz keep his team in the lead with such a big deficit to make up? 💪

man that premier league is always so intense ! 🤯 i was on the edge of my seat watching the manchester city vs liverpool match - de bruyne's passing game is just insane ! 🤯 and sergio aguero's goal in the 89th minute was like a dream come true 🎉. but what really got me excited was newcastle united's comeback against chelsea - saint-maximin's goals were like a breath of fresh air 😌. and tottenham's win over crystal palace was a nice little bonus ⚽️. the only thing that would make the premier league better is if there were more mid-table teams involved in some of these crazy comebacks 🤣

OMG, what a weekend in the Premier League!!! 🤯 I'm literally still reeling from that Aguero winner! 😱 Like, who expects a comeback like that?! 🙌 Manchester City is on fire right now! And Son's goal for Spurs was insane too... 3-2 at Selhurst Park and they take all three points? That's the kind of drama I love watching! 💥 The Newcastle vs Chelsea match was wild too... Allan Saint-Maximin is a genius, dude! 😂 Can't wait to see what happens next weekend! 🔥

I'm loving the Premier League drama this season 🤯! But, gotta say, it's getting pretty intense. All these comebacks and last-minute winners are making it hard to predict what's gonna happen next. I mean, City's win over Liverpool was insane, but so was Newcastle's comeback against Chelsea... it's like they're playing the whole league as a rollercoaster 🎠. And what's up with all these talented players just popping up and scoring crucial goals? It's like they're defying physics or something 😂. Anyways, gotta keep an eye on Tottenham too, they've got some serious firepower. But, at the same time, I'm a bit worried about the consistency... we don't wanna see any more mid-table drama 🙅‍♂️. Bring it on, though!

The Premier League is back and it's already throwing up some crazy matches! 🤯 I'm loving how Manchester City managed to come from behind against Liverpool - that late winner by Aguero was insane! 😲 And Tottenham's win over Crystal Palace was a great upset, Son's goal in the 83rd minute was a real game-changer. ⏰

I'm also impressed by Newcastle's comeback against Chelsea, it showed some amazing determination from Allan Saint-Maximin and the rest of the squad. That 4-3 thriller had me on the edge of my seat! 😅 As for Manchester United's win over Leicester City, it was a great team effort all round.

But what I do find a bit weird is how many goals were scored in these matches - like, can we just have one normal match without all the excitement and surprises? 😜 Just kidding, that's kinda what makes the Premier League so awesome! 🏆

omg I'm so confused how do football teams score goals can't they just, like, run into the goal or something? 🤯 also why do fans cry when their team loses it's like, what's the big deal? 😂 anyway that Aguero goal was CRAZY 89th minute?!?! I need to see replays of that like a million times! 📺

Man I'm loving this Premier League drama 🤩! Can't get enough of these high-stakes matches where anything can happen. I mean, who didn't love the comeback win by Man City against Liverpool? That was mental 🔥! And what a finish by Aguero at the end, so clutch! 😎 Then we've got Tottenham snatching it up from Palace with Son's cool finish in the 83rd minute... Spurs fans are going wild 🐈💥. And don't even get me started on Newcastle vs Chelsea - that was pure chaos 💥😱. I'm not sure who enjoyed more, the players or the fans! 😂

😊 just watched this Premier League stuff and gotta say, love the drama and unpredictability! City's comeback against Liverpool was insane ⚡️, I mean, you don't expect that Aguero goal to happen like that. And Tottenham snatching it from Palace was a real nail-biter. Son's finish was sweet 🍎. Newcastle's 4-3 thriller had me on the edge of my seat too - Saint-Maximin is some player 🔥! But you can't ignore Chelsea's Kai Havertz, he's making his mark ⚽️. And Man United getting that win over Leicester will give them a boost... fingers crossed they can keep it up 😊

man i'm telling u the premier league is back and better than ever these 90 minutes of football got me like totally on the edge of my seat every single match was so intense especially that aguero goal 🤯 it's insane how he just slots it in like that after coming from behind, city really showed their class this weekend. but at the same time i love the unpredictability of the league no team is out of the woods yet and that's what makes it so thrilling to watch. and i gotta give a shoutout to sanchez for his assist on that aguero goal 🤝 but seriously, these wins are gonna shape up some crazy seasons

just watched that crazy premier league match between man city and liverpool 🤯😲 Aguero's winner was insane! think it's so cool how city came back from behind, shows they really know how to handle pressure 🙌 what do you guys think about this league? always so intense 😅

man... the premier league is like one big soap opera 📺 what's up with these comebacks? it's like they're playing for more than just points on a table, you know? Manchester City vs Liverpool was crazy! De Bruyne and Foden were like two heroes leading their team back from the dead. and Aguero's winner? 💥 that's what makes football so amazing, right? the drama, the excitement... it's not just about winning or losing, it's about how you play the game.

and then you have these other teams, like Newcastle United, fighting till the end to get a win. it's like they're trying to prove something... I love it! 🤩 football is more than just a sport, it's a reflection of our society, our emotions, our passions. and right now, it's giving us so much to talk about 💬

Man that Liverpool vs City match was insane! 😱 I mean, City came back from 1-0 down and won it in the last minute? That's what makes the Premier League so exciting right?! 🤩 And Spurs getting that win at Selhurst Park was a great result for them. Heung-Min Son is just on fire this season 💪. Can't wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds! 😃

Ugh, can't believe all these comeback victories 🤦‍♂️. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's cool to see teams fight back from behind and all that jazz 😎. But come on, does the league have to be so dramatic all the time? Can't we just have a nice, normal match where one team doesn't totally embarrass the other? 🙄

And don't even get me started on the goals. Like, who needs 4-3 thrillers when you can have a solid 2-0 win? 😴 I swear, sometimes it feels like teams are just trying to break the record for most goals scored in one match instead of playing actual football 🏃‍♂️.

And what's with all these last-minute winners? Like, can't we just play some decent football from start to finish without needing a hero to score at the death ⏰? It's just so frustrating! 😤

I'm so hyped about this Premier League weekend! 😆 I mean, come on, Manchester City came back from being down 1-0 to win it all? That's some serious grit and determination! Kevin De Bruyne is a total legend, and Phil Foden is getting better and better with every game. And can we talk about Heung-Min Son? That guy's got ice in his veins! 😂 He just calmly slots that goal in like he's got nothing to prove. Spurs' fans must've been over the moon!

And Newcastle United's comeback against Chelsea? Mind-blowing! 🤯 I mean, they were down 2-0 and then suddenly they're level? That's what makes football so crazy and unpredictable. And Kai Havertz is just on another level, right? West Ham United's victory over Brighton was sweet too - that's some much-needed momentum for them.

It's days like these that remind us why we love this sport so much. The drama, the excitement, the thrill of victory... it's all just part of what makes football so special! 🎉

Ugh I'm literally shook by that Manchester City comeback!!! 😲 Like, what even is this?! You're down 1-0 and your team comes from out of nowhere to win it all in the last minute? That Aguero goal was INSANE 🤯! And can we talk about Jordan Henderson for a second? He's just so overrated. I mean, yeah he scored that one goal but come on, you can't even count on him to be consistent every week.

And Tottenham getting that win against Crystal Palace is EVERYTHING 💁‍♀️! Son's finish was SO clutch and those Spurs fans must've been FREAKING OUT 🎉. And can we talk about Wilfried Zaha? He's such a talented player but his team always seems to fall short. It's like he's just waiting for someone else to carry the load on their shoulders.

And Newcastle vs Chelsea... oh man, what a game! 😂 Those Magpies must've been SCREAMING IN THE STADIUM when they came back from 2-0 down. And Kai Havertz is literally a god 🙏! I mean, have you seen his footwork? That guy's a midfielder GOAT.

And lastly, West Ham getting that win against Brighton is just the best 💖! They're finally getting some momentum and it feels so good to see them do well. Manchester United's win over Leicester was pretty meh tho 😐.

I mean, what's up with these comeback wins? Like, can't teams just hold on to the lead for once? 🤦‍♂️ Manchester City and Newcastle United both come back from 2-0 down? It's like they're playing a different sport or something... 😂 Anyway, I'm not complaining about the drama - it's what makes the Premier League so entertaining. But seriously, can we get some teams to just finish the game without needing three stoppages for VAR reviews? 💔 That'd be nice...
