Rangers midfielder Connor Barron out for 'eight to 12 weeks', Dujon Sterling to also miss trip to Aberdeen, live on Sky

Rangers midfielder Connor Barron will be out of action for eight to 12 weeks due to a knee injury sustained in Tuesday's 2-0 win over Aberdeen, according to manager Danny Röhl. This is a significant setback for the team, as Barron has been an integral part of their midfield unit.

In addition to Barron's absence, defender Dujon Sterling will also miss the trip to Aberdeen due to a hamstring injury. However, in a positive twist, Sterling could return for Rangers' upcoming game against Dundee later this month.

Röhl expressed his concern about Barron's injury, stating that it looks like an "eight to 12-week" layoff period. He acknowledged that such injuries are common, but emphasized the frustration of losing key players at critical times. The manager also discussed Sterling's arrest following a one-vehicle crash in Glasgow on Saturday, where he was charged with road traffic offenses involving drink driving.

Röhl took this opportunity to address the incident and expressed his disappointment and concern for Sterling, who has since shown remorse and apologized. The club is now focused on assessing how to move forward and preparing for their next match against Dundee.

man thats not good news 4 rangers ⚽️! they really need barron in the midfield rn 😬 8-12 weeks is a long layoff period 2 b out...Sterling's injury is a bonus tho 🤞 at least hes gonna be back soon. gotta give sterling credit tho, hes taken responsibility 4 his actions & apologized 🙏 hope he can bounce back from this 🌟

Ugh, I'm so bummed for Rangers! Losing Connor Barron for that long is a huge blow, especially with the team's midfield unit already thinned out 🤕. But on a more serious note, Dujon Sterling's arrest is a big concern... I mean, we've all been there, but it's still a serious offense and I hope he takes this time to reflect on his actions 💔. The fact that he apologized shows some good sense, though! Fingers crossed he can be back on the field soon 🤞.

I'm shocked 😱 that they're losing two key players at the same time, especially with a big game coming up against Dundee. Barron's absence is gonna be huge 💔, and I don't know how they expect to fill his spot in midfield. And then to hear about Dujon getting charged with drink driving... it's just not what you want to see from one of your star players 🤕. But you've got to give credit to the guy for owning up to it and apologizing, that shows some maturity 🙏. I hope he can get his act together and be back on the pitch soon 💪. This is definitely a tough road ahead for Rangers, but they'll have to bounce back from this 💥.

ugh i feel for rangers fans right now 🤕 they were doing so well with barron in the midfield and now he's out for 8-12 weeks that's a huge blow 😬 but on the bright side, sterling will be back for the dundee game later this month so fingers crossed for him 💕 it's just one of those bad days where injuries and controversy pile up 🤦‍♂️ i hope röhl can get his team back on track soon ⏪ they've got some tough games coming up but with a strong squad, they should be able to bounce back 💪 #Rangers #InjurySetback #SterlingUpdate

⚽️ Losing a key player like Connor Barron is never easy, but at least Dujon's return for the Dundee game is a positive... some things are ruff, but you can't let that bring you down 💔 "The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall" - Nelson Mandela 🌟

🤕 this is so bad luck for rangers 🙈 barron's injury is like the worst timing ever, they're already struggling and now they've lost 2 key players. i feel for the lads trying to make a comeback from the suspension too, especially with sterling getting his own drama on top of that 😒

and omg barry bannacher must be freaking out right now 🤯 he's been riding barron hard all season and this is just cruel luck. still gotta give credit to the team for bouncing back 2-0 against aberdeen, that's some serious spirit 💪 but now they've got a tough road ahead of them without their main midfield unit 👎

man thats not cool for rangers they need barron back ASAP 🤕 but i can understand the injury thing happens 8-12 weeks feels like forever tho 😩 at least sterling should be good to go in a couple of weeks, that's some silver lining 👍 and gotta feel bad for sterling getting in trouble, hopefully he learns from it 💯

Ouch, can't believe Barron's gonna be out for 8-12 weeks 🤕 that's a major blow to the team's midfield depth 💔 and I know Röhl is stressed about it 😬. But on the bright side, Sterling might be back sooner rather than later ⏱️, which could be a huge relief 👍. And kudos to Barron for taking responsibility for his injury, hope he gets through this without any further complications 🤞. The team's gonna have to regroup and come up with a new game plan, but I'm sure they'll bounce back 💪. Sterling's situation is a bit of a concern though, the club needs to support him while also keeping an eye on his behavior 👀. Anyway, time for Rangers to show their strength and resilience 💥!

man... another injury hits rangers 🤕 can't believe barron's gonna be out for that long 📆 hope he recovers fast so they can get him back in the pitch, but meanwhile, i feel for the team having to deal with this loss again 💔 and that's just a bonus problem with sterling getting into trouble on the pitch... but at least he's apologizing and taking it seriously 🤞 guess we'll see how that all plays out now 👀

Omg, not great news for Rangers fans 🤕. I get it, injuries are part of the game, but losing Barron for 8-12 weeks? That's a huge blow to their midfield unit. They really need that guy back ASAP 💪. On a separate note, Sterling's arrest and drink driving thing is just... wow 😬. Hopefully he learns from his mistake and gets his life together soon. The club's handling of it seems pretty good though, showing support for him while also keeping the team's focus on the next match 🙏. Can't wait to see how they bounce back without Barron and hoping Sterling is back to his old self in no time 👍

Ugh, can't believe I'm having to spend my Saturday morning reading about injuries 🤦‍♂️! Eight to 12 weeks without Barron? That's just great timing, you know? The season is already getting intense and now we're losing one of our best midfielders. And to make matters worse, Sterling gets a slap on the wrist for his DUI incident. I mean, I get it, accidents happen, but come on, 8 weeks without your star defender?! 🤷‍♂️ Röhl's got his work cut out for him if he wants to keep this team competitive. And what's with the club not being more transparent about Sterling's arrest? I'm all for a second chance, but some explanation would've been nice 😐.

omg what a nightmare for rangers!! 🤯 barron's injury sucks, 8-12 weeks is a looong time without him in the team 🕰️ and sterling's hamstring issue isn't helping either 🤕 u can just imagine how frustrating it must be for the coach to lose key players at this critical stage of the season 😩 meanwhile i feel bad for sterling too, hope he gets his license back soon 🙏 and btw does anyone know more about that crash? wanna get all the deets 📰

Umm, i think Barron's injury is super bad news... but like, 8-12 weeks isn't that long, right? 🤔 I mean, it's not the end of the world... or is it? 😅 Rangers need him back ASAP or they'll be in trouble. But on the other hand, at least Sterling won't miss the Dundee game and can get some playing time, which is a plus! 💪 And yeah, Röhl's right about injuries being common, but still frustrating when you lose key players... 🤷‍♂️ And omg, what happened to Sterling? Drink driving is so reckless... I don't know if I'd want to punish him more than he already did... 🚗

🤕 ugh eight to 12 weeks is like, forever man! can't rangers recover from this? 🚫 they need barron's midfield magic ASAP 💫 anyway i think sterling getting charged with drink driving is a bummer, but glad he apologized 🙏 and i'm sure the club is just trying to move forward now 🔄 12 points for dundee though, gonna be an easy win 😊

ugh rangers are goin down without barron 🤕 i mean what can u do? he's a key player and now he's out 8-12 weeks 😩 and sterner gets benched cuz of a dumb arrest lol like what was he thinkin' 😂 anyway, gotta be fair to the club they're already talkin bout how to move forward 🤔 hope sterling gets his act together tho 👍 rangers will still bounce back, they always do 💪

ugh I'm literally so frustrated right now 😩...conner barron out for 8-12 weeks?? that's like, a huge blow to the team 🤯! they can't afford to lose anyone crucial at this point in the season. i know injuries are part of the game but still it hurts 💔

and on top of that dujon sterling is out as well...can you believe he got arrested and charged with drink driving? 😱 like, what was he even thinking?! 🤦‍♂️ anyway, at least sterling's apologizing and showing remorse which is good i guess. the club needs to focus on getting barron back on the field ASAP so they can get back to winning ways 💪

I'm tellin' ya, there's somethin' fishy goin' on here... Barron's injury seems too coincidental, don't you think? He goes down at a time when the team's momentum is buildin', and now they're losin' another key player. And what about Dujon Sterling? One minute he's gettin' arrested for drink drivin', the next he's out with a hamstring injury... it's like the universe is playin' a sick game of football. And Röhl's all worried, but I'm thinkin', what if this is just another example of a player gettin' hurt to take them out of the equation? 🤔💔

ugh man rangers are getting hit hard by injuries 🤕 barron's out for 8-12 weeks? that's a huge blow to their midfield, they need him back ASAP ⏱️ and now sterling is also out with another injury 😩 can't believe it, one minute he's on the pitch, next minute he's in the news for getting into trouble 🚗😳 röhl seems like a good manager, but this season is already looking sketchy 📊 can they recover from these setbacks and make a push for the top? 🤔

Ugh, another injury update that's gonna affect the team's performance 🤦‍♂️. 8-12 weeks for Connor Barron? That's a long time to be out of action ⏱️. And to make matters worse, Dujon Sterling's hamstring injury is gonna impact their midfield unit too 🤕. I'm not sure how they're gonna cope with this. Rangers were doing pretty well before these injuries hit 🚨. The worst part is that Barron was one of their key players ⚽️. Hopefully, he'll make a speedy recovery and get back on the pitch soon 🤞. And yeah, it's not cool that Sterling got into trouble with drink driving, but at least he's apologized and shown remorse 😔. The club needs to focus on preparing for Dundee and hope their injured players come back strong 💪.
