Red Wings centennial exhibition coming to Detroit Historical Museum - Detroit Metro Times

This 100-year celebration is all about nostalgia, but it's also about branding, you know? The city of Detroit is trying to rebrand itself as a hockey town, and using the Red Wings' legacy as a marketing tool is a no-brainer 🤑. But what about the lesser-known teams like the Falcons and Cougars? Are they getting some love from this exhibition? It seems like it's all about the Red Wings, and that might be a bit of an oversimplification.

I mean, think about it, if Detroit wants to establish itself as Hockeytown, it needs to show its support for all hockey teams in the city. This exhibition should be more than just a Red Wings fan fest. It could also be seen as a PR stunt to attract tourists and investors. The city's economy has been struggling lately, so this could be a big win 📈. But at the same time, it raises questions about representation and inclusivity...
 
omg I'm so down for this!!! 🤩 they're really bringing out all the old gear and vids from way back when? that's gonna be lit! 🎉 i mean, who doesn't love hockey? especially in detroit where it's like a part of the city's DNA or something. and it's awesome they're giving some love to the other teams too, not just the red wings. can't wait to check out the exhibit when it opens! 😆

The Red Wings are literally my pride 🏒️❤️. I mean, 100 years is crazy! I remember watching games with my dad when I was a kid and he'd tell me about all the legends who played for the team. Now, seeing all that history come together in one place is gonna be EPIC 😲. It's dope that they're giving the Falcons and Cougars some love too - Detroit has always been passionate about hockey 🙌. Can't wait to check out this exhibit and relive some of those iconic moments 💥
