Sex, lies and pistachio shells: the disturbing dream worlds of artist Joseph Yaeger

🤯 I mean, have you seen these paintings by Joseph Yaeger? They're like nothing I've ever seen before... so detailed, yet kinda unsettling at the same time. Like, he takes old film stills and just... transforms them into these otherworldly things. The use of stuff like pistachio shells and biscuit wrappers is genius - it's like he's trying to show us that everyone's got their own secrets. And that polygraph test text thingy? Mind-blowing. I feel like he's really getting into his own head with this exhibition... but in a weird way, I think we're all kinda like him, ya know? 🤔

this exhibition is like walking into a very dark room 🕷️ you cant help but feel uneasy and uncomfortable because yaeger's art is so real and honest, it's like he's letting you in on his deepest secrets 🤫 and the way he incorporates these fragments from film stills is genius, like he's taking something familiar and turning it into something totally new and unsettling 💥 also love how he's exploring themes of truth-telling and self-discovery, its like he's asking us to confront our own demons 👻

I'm kinda fascinated by Joseph Yaeger's work 🤯. He's like a master at exploring the human psyche through art 🎨. I mean, who needs therapy when you can just create these intense, emotionally charged paintings 😩? The way he uses polygraph testing as a metaphor for truth-telling is really thought-provoking. It's like, how much of ourselves do we really show to others vs. what's hidden beneath the surface 🤐?

I love how his Catholic upbringing influences his work, but at the same time, it feels like he's pushing against those boundaries to create something more universal 🌎. And can we talk about the textures in his paintings? The way he uses watercolour on gesso is like a whole new level of artistry 🤯.

I think what resonates with me most is how Yaeger's work makes you feel all these uncomfortable emotions, but also somehow cathartic? It's like he's inviting us to confront our own demons alongside him 😩. Overall, I think 'Polygrapher' is an exhibition that will leave a mark on you 🤯.

I'm not sure I buy into all this "deep" art stuff... to me, it's just some dude with a lot of time on his hands playing around with paint and old film stills. 🤔 I mean, what's the point of adding stuff like pistachio shells or biscuit wrappers to the paintings? Just seems like a lazy way to get rid of excess materials, you know? And that polygraph test thingy just sounds like a bunch of mumbo-jumbo to me... if he wants to explore his own psyche, why not just write a blog or something instead of charging us all £20 to come and stare at some art? 🤑
