Shania Twain is right on point about country music needing a diversity overhaul
. I mean, it's awesome that she's using her platform to bring attention to this issue and promote some amazing up-and-coming female artists
like Lily Rose and Lindsay Ell. But, gotta say, it feels like we've been hearing this same message for years now...
Still, I'm excited to see more artists taking steps towards inclusivity, like Hailey Whitters and Mickey Guyton who are killing the game
.
Twain's message of 'we're family' is so true
. Country music should be about celebrating our differences and promoting equality for everyone involved
. The BoykinZ a cappella performance was a beautiful moment, but we need more of these kinds of collaborations to break down those cultural barriers
.
Let's be real, this is just the beginning
. We'll have to see how country music adapts and evolves over time, but for now, I'm hyped about the progress being made
