South suburban food pantry draws hundreds as SNAP cutoff looms

🤯 Just got back from Richton Park and I'm still trying to wrap my head around 600 people showing up at the food pantry all because of this federal shutdown 🤷‍♀️. I mean, Jason Webb is literally living with anxiety about how he's gonna feed his fam and elderly mom 🍴. It's heartbreaking, man. Rich Township Supervisor Calvin Jordan is right, though - we gotta address this food insecurity crisis ASAP ⏰. And can't believe the politicians are bickering over contingency funding while people's plates are empty 🤦‍♂️. We need to come together as a community and support our neighbors who are struggling 💕. The fact that 80-100 people usually show up on distribution days is crazy low, but now we're talking hundreds... it's time for some real change ⚡️!

🤔 what's going on here? 600 people at a food pantry is crazy! 🤯 I mean I get it, the shutdown is causing some major stress for low-income families, but can't they just help out with some emergency funding or something? 💸 It's not like it's rocket science. And what's up with the Trump admin being in a legal battle over contingency funding? 🚨 Can't they just talk to each other and figure it out? 😩 I need sources on this, btw. Where's the proof that SNAP recipients are losing benefits? How much extra is being taken away? 💸
