The NBA is extending its relationship with one of the sporting world’s most intriguing start-up companies

The NBA has solidified its partnership with Cosm, the innovative entertainment company behind the immersive sports bar experience. The deal extends the two entities' collaboration until 2030 and will see live NBA games broadcast in Cosm's domes for at least five years.

This is a significant move by both parties, with the league aiming to expand its reach and give fans more options to engage with the game. According to Jeb Terry, CEO of Cosm, the partnership complements the NBA's ambition to open up access and provide new ways for fans to celebrate their favorite sport.

The NBA will benefit from Cosm's unique 87-foot-diameter LED screens, which offer a first-of-its-kind experience for fans. The league sees this as an opportunity to innovate its broadcasting model, leveraging technology to enhance the fan experience. Teddy Kaplan, NBA vice president and head of new media partnerships, praised Cosm's innovative approach and believes it aligns with the league's focus on engaging young, tech-savvy fans.

The partnership has been a game-changer for Cosm, providing much-needed legitimacy as the company entered the sports broadcasting market. With its first location in Los Angeles now open, the company plans to expand into more locations, including Detroit, Cleveland, and Atlanta. This move will put Cosm in five NBA cities and potentially pave the way for international fans to experience live NBA games at a lower cost.

The partnership is seen as a win-win for both parties, with the NBA benefiting from its innovative broadcasting model and Cosm expanding its reach into new markets. As the sports industry continues to evolve, this collaboration will be closely watched, offering insights into the future of sports broadcasting.

I'm low-key hyped about this collab 🤩! I mean, think about it - NBA games on a massive LED screen like that? It's gonna be wild 🔥! The league is all about innovating and giving fans more options, and this partnership is just the beginning. I love how Cosm is using tech to enhance the fan experience, it's so smart 🤓. And let's be real, who wouldn't want to watch an NBA game in a dome with 87-foot-diameter LED screens? It's like a whole new level of immersion 🎥. Plus, it's gonna be awesome for international fans who want to see live games at a lower cost. This is the future of sports broadcasting, and I'm here for it 😆!

I'm not sold on this whole immersive sports bar thing... I mean, it sounds like a lot of hype 🤔. I've been to some of Cosm's domes and they're just fancy bars with a bunch of screens showing sports. I get that the tech is cool, but is it really worth paying premium prices for? I'm all for innovation in sports broadcasting, but let's not forget that there are already some amazing online platforms that offer live games at a fraction of the cost. I'm curious to see how this partnership will shake out and whether it'll actually bring more fans into the NBA. Maybe they can prove me wrong 🤷‍♂️

🤔 I'm telling you, something's fishy about this whole thing. Like, what's really going on here? The NBA and Cosm teaming up, just like that? It sounds too good to be true 🤑. I mean, have they thought about the impact on smaller sports bars? Are they gonna get left in the dust with these fancy new domes and all that tech? And what about the fans? They're gonna be stuck inside those domes, missing out on the real game-day experience 🏀👎.

And don't even get me started on the cost. I bet it's not just NBA games they'll be broadcasting in these Cosm domes. What about other events? Like concerts or something? They're gonna be making money off of all that, and we won't know the half of it 🤑💸.

I'm not saying this partnership is bad or anything, but... I don't know, man. Something just doesn't add up 😐

you know what's crazy? I was just thinking about trying out this new virtual reality headset my friend got me for christmas 🤯 it's so immersive! i mean, i felt like i was right there on the court during a live game... but then i started to think about how VR is gonna change the way we experience sports forever... and now i'm wondering if they're gonna start broadcasting nba games in vr too? that would be wild 🌐

🤔 so i think its cool that the nba is teaming up with cosm to bring live games to more people, especially in new cities like detroit and atlanta 📍 they're gonna have these massive 87ft led screens that sound insane ⚡️ it's great that the league is trying to innovate and give fans more options to enjoy the game 👍 i just wonder how much it'll cost for non-nba fans to watch live games at cosm's domes though 💸

🤖 The whole thing just feels like a Band-Aid on a bullet wound - they're trying to attract more fans but I'm sure it'll all fall apart by 2030 🤦‍♂️. What's really going to change is that people will be paying even more for overpriced tickets and drinks at the Cosm domes 🍺😒

omg I'm literally hyped about this deal!!! 🤩 it's like the NBA is finally getting with the times and recognizing that fans want more than just boring old TV broadcasts. cosm's immersive sports bars are a total game-changer, who wouldn't want to watch live nba games on massive led screens surrounded by sick vibes?! 🎥👀 I'm all about it, can you imagine being able to experience the energy of a live game in a whole new way? and yeah, this is definitely gonna be a big deal for cosm, they're really bringing legitimacy to their company with this partnership. plus, think about how much cheaper it'll be for international fans to watch nba games live, that's just genius 🤓

just thinkin bout this... NBA goin down a whole new lane with Cosm 🤯... five more locations? that's crazy! i mean, who wouldn't wanna watch live games in a dome? it's like another level of entertainment 📺... but what about the cost? are fans gonna have to shell out extra cash just to catch a game on this fancy-schmancy Cosm thing? still, if it means more options for us as fans, i'm all for it 😊... just hope they don't forget about the regular ol' arenas 🏟️...

Wow 🤯 that's crazy! I think it's awesome how the NBA is trying to innovate its broadcasting model with Cosm's sick LED screens 🔥 they're really thinking outside the box here. It'll be dope for fans to have a more immersive experience at these domes. And on another note, having live NBA games broadcast in more cities and potentially lower prices will definitely make it more accessible to international fans 👍

I guess the NBA's gonna be all over Cosm's domes soon, like a super-intense sports bar party 🎉🏀! Five years is a decent chunk of time for live games to start popping up everywhere - hopefully it doesn't turn into an overhyped sports bar experience and we don't end up paying crazy prices to watch Steph Curry dunk 😂. On the bright side, more options are always better for fans, especially if they can watch their fave team without breaking the bank in new cities like Detroit, Cleveland, and Atlanta 🤑!

im lowkey hyped about the new deal between the NBA and Cosm 🤯 it's gonna be insane to watch live games in those massive LED screens - 87 feet is wild 🚀 i mean who wouldn't wanna feel like they're part of the action? and for the NBA, it's a game-changer too... getting fans engaged with tech-savvy stuff is key, especially if you're trying to keep up with the youth 👍 cosm is already killing it in LA, now to see them expand into more cities and potentially make nba games more accessible worldwide? that's the dream 💥
