Tony Dokoupil Is Making ‘CBS Evening News’ All About Tony Dokoupil

I'm getting so tired of these anchors thinking they're the main attraction 🙄. Tony Dokoupil's been all over socials with those silly "Things change" videos and breaking down in tears on air... it's just not what I tune in for, you know? News is supposed to be about sharing facts, not your personal feelings 💔. And don't even get me started on the humor - Marco Rubio's résumé was definitely NOT something that needs a shoutout 🤦‍♂️. Can we just stick to reporting the news without all the drama and self-promotion? 😒

🤦‍♂️ I mean come on, does Tony Dokoupil really think being all vulnerable and emotional on air is going to make him more relatable? News anchors are supposed to be objective, not some drama queen who's trying to get likes on social media 📚. And what's up with the " Things change — that's the news" thing? Sounds like something a middle schooler would say 😒. CBS should teach this kid some basic journalism skills before he starts blurring the lines between news and self-promotion 📰. News anchors are supposed to report, not be the story themselves 💔.

I don’t usually comment but I got kinda annoyed when I saw Tony Dokoupil doing all those silly things on TV 🤦‍♂️. I mean, he's gotta be a talented guy or something to think it's okay to break down in tears on live air and talk about how tired he is 😴. It feels so unprofessional and it makes me wonder if the whole news thing has changed for him.

I don’t get why people need to have their personal stuff plastered all over the news 🤔. Can't he just stick to reading from a script like everyone else? I know some anchors try to be more relatable, but this is just weird 🙃. And what's with the whole "Things change — that's the news" thing? Is he trying to be some kind of funny anchor or something? 😂

I guess I just expect more from my news anchors than to seem like they're in on a big joke themselves 🤣. It feels like they're more worried about getting their name out there and being famous rather than doing real journalism 💔.

omg i'm like totally frustrated w/ tony dokoupil rn 😩 he's literally more annoying than a mosquito at a summer BBQ! his attempt to be all relatable and quirky is just so forced it feels like he's trying way too hard 2 b funny 🤣 news anchors r sposed 2 b serious & respectful not cringeworthy & self-absorbed like dokoupil 🙄

i mean dont get me wrong i love a good journalist who can make complex issues sound easy 2 understand but dokoupil's all about the drama & attention-seeking 🎉 and honestly its just so unbecoming 4 someone in his position 🤦‍♀️ news is supposed 2 b about sharing facts & keeping ppl informed not about his personal story or how tired he is 😴

anyway i guess thats jus my 2 cents 👍

I gotta say, Tony Dokoupil is all over the place 🤯. I mean, what's with all these "publicity blitzes" and presenting himself like he's a kid on his birthday? 🎁 It's not cute, it's cringeworthy 😳. As a journalist, you're supposed to be serious and professional, not some viral sensation. And don't even get me started on releasing videos with cheesy lines like "Things change — that's the news" 🙄.

I'm all for anchors having personality, but there's a fine line between being relatable and being self-absorbed. Dokoupil's constant attempts to be more than just a journalist are getting old 🤦‍♂️. And honestly, it feels like he's more concerned with getting his name in headlines than actually reporting the news 📰.

I mean, I get that Katie Couric tried something similar 20 years ago and it didn't work out, but Dokoupil's approach is just... much 😂. It's like he thinks he's above being a journalist, rather than someone who happens to be anchoring the evening news 💁‍♂️. Anyway, I guess CBS loves him or something 🤷‍♂️.
