Trump unveils Lincoln Bathroom renovation — complete with gold accents: ‘Very appropriate’

President Trump has unveiled his latest White House makeover, this time focusing on a bathroom renovation of the Lincoln Bathroom that has been touted as "very appropriate" by the president himself. The renovation sees the replacement of 1940s-era art deco green tile design with black and white polished statuary marble, complete with gold fixtures.

The move was unveiled via Trump's Truth Social platform, where he posted before-and-after photos of the small but storied space near the Lincoln Bedroom. Trump described the original tile design as "inappropriate" for the Lincoln Era and claimed that his new design would be more in line with the time period.

In a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump touted the renovation as a major upgrade, saying it was "renovated in the 1940s in an art deco green tile style which was totally inappropriate for the Lincoln Era." He then revealed that he had used "highly polished statuary marble" to achieve a more elegant look.

Trump also made light of his own renovation, joking that the new design could be the original marble that was installed during Abraham Lincoln's time. This move was seen as a nod to Trump's own taste for grandeur and luxury, which has been on full display throughout his presidency.

The renovation comes amidst controversy over Trump's larger plan to demolish the East Wing of the White House to build a sprawling $300 million ballroom. The project has drawn widespread criticism from both sides of the aisle, with 56% of Americans opposing it, according to a recent poll.

I dunno, maybe this bathroom renovation is just what the doctor ordered for the White House 🤔? I mean, Trump's clearly got a vision for the place and he's sticking to it 💪. And let's be real, who doesn't love marble, right? Marble's always been fancy, but in this case, it's like he's trying to bring a bit of old-school elegance back into the mix 🌟. I'm not gonna lie, some people are probably going to hate on this decision, but Trump seems pretty confident that his design is going to be just fine 😊. And hey, if he thinks it's an upgrade from those 1940s-era art deco tiles, who am I to argue? Maybe the guy just has a good eye for interior design 🤷‍♂️. But seriously, with all the controversy surrounding this ballroom project and other stuff going on, maybe Trump's just trying to distract us from some of the bigger issues 🎭.

🤦‍♂️ Oh boy, this is just getting out of hand! I mean, who does Trump think he is? Renovating the Lincoln Bathroom to match the time period? Like, come on! It's not even close to being subtle. And that "very appropriate" comment? 😂 Give me a break. This is just another example of his ego and love for luxury shining through.

I mean, can't he just leave some things alone? The White House is a historic building, for crying out loud! You'd think he'd want to preserve its integrity instead of trying to make it fit his own personal style. And what's with the "renovated in the 1940s" line? That's just a lazy attempt to cover up his own ignorance.

And don't even get me started on the East Wing ballroom project. 🤯 $300 million? Are you kidding me? That's just insane. I'm sure it'll be a real conversation starter when he invites all his wealthy friends over for a party in there. 🎉

ugh this is getting ridiculous 🤯 like what's next? he thinks a new marble bathroom is gonna change the whole vibe of the White House? and by the way who does he think he is, trying to claim that the original marble was installed during Abe's time? that's just laughable 😂. and can we talk about how extra this whole thing is? $300 million ballroom? it's like something out of a bad rom-com 💸. seriously though, 56% of Americans opposing it is like, yeah, most people are gonna be like "uh, no thanks".

Can't believe they're still making such a big deal about the bathroom renovation 🚽🤦‍♂️. I mean, come on, it's just a bathroom! The fact that Trump is using his own platform to show off the new design like a proud papa and making jokes about it being original marble from Lincoln's time...it's just so cringeworthy 😳. And let's be real, who cares about the tile design? It's not like it's gonna change anything about the country 🤷‍♂️. The real issue here is that Trump is still up to his old tricks trying to distract us from the East Wing project with this unnecessary renovation 🔥. Can't we just focus on something else for once?! 😩

🤔 I mean, what's next? Is he gonna renovate the Oval Office to look like a Kardashian's bathroom? It just seems like another way for him to show off his ego and spend our tax dollars on something that's basically just a vanity project. And can we talk about how rich he must be to even think about spending $300 million on some fancy ballroom? 🤑 I'm not surprised he chose the Lincoln Bathroom, though - it's already got that weird vibe going on. At this point, I'm just waiting for him to put in a pool and call it a day 😂.

OMG what a waste of taxpayer $$$ 🤑 this is so ridiculous! I mean I get it Trump likes his luxury and all but come on, can't he just leave the original design alone? It's not like we're trying to preserve some historical artifact or something... more like a fancy bathroom renovation 🚽. And btw who cares if it was "inappropriate" for the Lincoln Era? He's the one who's been making everything about him and his ego for years... 56% of Americans opposing this ballroom thing is basically the only thing that makes sense to me 😂

I don’t usually comment but this bathroom renovation is lowkey wild 🤣 I mean, who knew the Lincoln Bathroom needed an update? And honestly, the old art deco green tile design wasn't that bad... but I guess that's just my opinion 🙃 Trump saying it was "inappropriate" for the era sounds like he was trying to be a bit too clever 💡. The fact that he thinks his new marble design is more elegant than what was installed back in the 40s is questionable, imo 😒 But at least the gold fixtures are a nice touch 👀 I just hope they don’t mess up the whole East Wing project 🤔 it's gonna be a big mess if they go through with demolishing that part...

Ugh 🤯, this is just getting outta hand. A bathroom renovation that's more about Trump's ego than actual functionality? Like, come on! And now they're even calling it "very appropriate" 😒. Newsflash: the original tile design was art deco and all that jazz. It didn't hurt anyone. Now we're gonna have to pay for this marble monstrosity because of some grand design delusion 🤑. And can we please focus on something else? That East Wing demolition is just a total disaster 😭. 56% of Americans are against it for a reason... 🤦‍♀️

I'm lowkey shocked that he's spending $300k on a marble bathroom renovation 🤯. Like, what's next? A solid gold toilet seat? 😂 I get it, he wants his digs to be fancy and all, but come on, the Lincoln Bathroom is already iconic. I mean, can't they just leave it alone? The controversy surrounding the East Wing project is getting old too... 56% of Americans opposing it, yikes! 🚫 Can we please just have a little consideration for the people's money and sanity? 💸

I was just thinking about marble floors in my friend's new kitchen and I'm like "omg that gold fixture is straight fire 🔥" but then I started imagining what it would be like if they installed a secret panel with a hidden bar and a mini fridge 🍹👀. And, man, I still have to get those new marble countertops for my own bathroom... do you think the black and white polish is gonna show dirt that easy? 🤔

Anyway, back to Trump's renovation - I'm just not sure why he's so fixated on the tiles, like what's the big deal about art deco green tile design? 🤷‍♂️ Does it really ruin the vibe of the bathroom or what?
