Thousands of Veterans Honored in Philadelphia on November 9th
The city of Philadelphia will host its annual Veterans Parade & Festival on Sunday, November 9th, as part of a day-long tribute to honor and celebrate America's bravest heroes. I think it's awesome that Philly is hosting this big event to honor their veterans! 
It's a great way for the community to come together and show appreciation for those who have served our country. The fact that there will be info booths with essential services, job opportunities, and educational resources is really thoughtful too.

anyway i think its awesome that the city is doing this to show some love to our veterans they deserve all the celebration they can get, and it's cool that there are gonna be food trucks and live music too so bring on the fun

Just saw the news about the Veterans Parade & Festival in Philly on Nov 9th... feels kinda weird that it's gonna be so crowded 
with over 7k participants and road closures all over the place... plus, I just read that a veteran was shot down over S'Asia and spent 14 months in captivity 
... can't help but think about all the risks these guys take for our country 
I'm all for honoring our veterans and celebrating their service, but let's be real... a bunch of free food trucks and live music at Eakins Oval just seems like a nice way to distract us from the actual issues they're returning to after serving. 
Can't we use this event to actually address some of the problems veterans face when they get back home, like PTSD and lack of job opportunities? It feels like we're just scratching the surface with this one-day celebration... 
. And can you believe the grand marshal is a combat pilot who was shot down over Southeast Asia? That's just insane! The fact that he spent 14 months in captivity and still managed to come out on top... I mean, what an American hero

. but seriously, can you believe how many veterans are gonna be honored this year? 7k is crazy! i remember when my dad was talking about his friends who came back from 'Nam and how rough it was for them... but the US is still doing its thing to help and support these guys
