NFL: Indianapolis Colts sign grandfather Philip Rivers, 44, out of retirement

idk how they did it lol... 44 is like ancient in nfl years 🤣. i mean rivers is still a vet but its wild that colts are rolling with him now. maybe shane steichen knows something we dont? 🤔 anyway, its gonna be interesting to see how this plays out, especially if they make the playoffs. phoebe schecter seems right tho, having rivers on the team could be the x factor for them. lets see if he can still bring that clutch gene 💪

🤯 I'm low-key stoked about this move, tbh. Philip Rivers is like the OG QB, you know? He's been through so much in his career, and yet he still wants to give it another shot. And honestly, I think it's awesome that the Colts are giving him a chance to do so. He's not gonna be 45 next season 🙅‍♂️, and even though he's got some mileage on those legs, I still think he's got some juice left in 'em.

The thing is, Rivers' experience can't be overstated. He's been in the league for a minute, and he knows what it takes to win. The Colts are basically saying that they trust him enough to bring him back into the fold, even though there's some risk involved (obviously). And you know what? I think it's gonna pay off.

The fact that he's being added to the practice squad instead of the active roster is just smart, in my opinion. It shows that the team wants to ease him back in and make sure he's not gonna get hurt too badly. But once he's good to go, watch out 🏈! The man can still sling it like nobody's business.

idk what's goin on in nfl rn... just saw philip rivers sign with indy colts @ 44 lol like when did he become old?? 🤣 anyway its cool that they think he can bring experience to their young QBs, i mean dan & riley got injured so yeah that makes sense. but still gotta wonder if rivers can still put up big numbers at his age. 🤔
